Rated 5 out of 5 by shoobaby1 Excellent Early Spring, Early Fall Jacket
Exchanged size Petite Med. for Petite Small due to long sleeve length & loose through body; am pleased with smaller fit & bright blue color (originally ordered in red color); for reference, my ht. is 5' 3", wt. 120, average arm length....never a problem with an LL Bean exchange ~

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sleddogger Beautiful jacket but cut is very slim in hips
I just got my new jacket and it's gorgeous. Love the color and the feel. I'm looking for a jacket that will keep me warm for hiking but that doesn't take up a lot of space in my suitcase or backpack and this one certainly fills the bill. My only complaint is the cut. It's not just that it's a trim fit, it's that, like so many things these days, it seems to be cut for someone with no hips and a huge bust (can we say Barbie Doll?). I'm so tired of things that are snug around the hips but gaping around the bust. I'm a B cup, but I'd need to be D or better for this to fit properly. Wish you'd make activewear for folks like me - a 60-year-old mom whose had a couple kids and whose bust measurement is not 30% larger than her hips. That would be Women's sizes rather than Misses - not offered for this jacket (or any of the packaway things). Would be wonderful if LLBean would slide down the plus template into 14W and 16W so older women could have access to activewear as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sbggg Love this jacket
I truly love this jacket. My hand goes into the coat closet and this is the one that always comes out. I am 5' 6" and 130 lbs. I like things a little roomy - size medium was perfect for me. I've worn this hiking in 45 degree weather with a light layer underneath; the weight is perfect for this kind of warm-up activity, and there is enough room in the shoulders to comfortably reach and swing my arms. Also great for less active 50-55 degree weather, and it does well repelling light rain and wind. Not the reason for buying, but when the temp really drops this is thin enough to layer under a heavier coat. I wish it had soft lining near the cuffs. I bought this in black.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sunflour Beautiful, high-quality, great fit!
I am 5' 6" and a thin 115 lbs. I ordered the Medium and it fits perfectly. The Small might have worked, but I like to have room for fleece or a sweater. And with the draw cord at the hem, I can still adjust the fit for my narrow hips. Some reviewers have commented that the sleeves are too long, but I must disagree! The sleeve length allows you to pull the sleeves over your gloves, creating a perfect "seal" to keep out the cold. And when it comes to outerwear, nothing is a deal-breaker like "too-short sleeves"! After some deliberation, I chose the purple color. Beautiful and feminine, it coordinates great with red, all shades of green, and of course black. But all the colors look lovely.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mozart1 I have several, but I didn't like the white
I have the old primaloft vest and jacket in gray and the same two in black of the newer version. I have the old white verson quarter zip jacket, but the new jacket is not the same color combo. The new white jacket has black contrasting pockets, not the gray as pictured. The white jacket looks like a liner removed from something else. The colors don't look good to me, so I returned it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MidwestActiveElder Great for Early/Late Winter (except the logo)
My go-to jacket for travel, errands, hiking, as long as it's above 30F. Easy to pack, true to size, and has a flattering fit without restricting arm movement. I avoid products with Bean Logos, but gave in when I didn't find another option. The white (logo-hiding!)jacket is easy to keep clean, has held up well so far, and has gotten a lot of compliments.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Homesteader25 Disappointing
This jacket has so little insulation that it's useless as outerwear. This morning I shoveled 60' of sidewalk in13 degree temperature and with a sweatshirt underneath did not even warm up. Color was nice and fit was good but I expected more of a winter item. I am a long time LL Bean customer and this is the first item that I will be returning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RetiredToKentucky Good Three Season Jacket
This is a nice light weight jacket. Good construction, nice zip pockets and just enough tailoring to keep it from looking boxy. I really like the Barberry color which has stronger pink tones rather than true red. This will be perfect for running errands fall through spring, and will likely become my go to jacket except for those dead of winter days. As others have noted, the sleeves do run a bit long, but for me aren't cumbersome or unflattering. The petite small is a good fit for my 5 ft 4 in 110 lb frame and gives me enough room for a mid weight layer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LoveCorgiK9s Warm but arms way too long
This jacket is exactly what I was looking for, a light winter jacket. Where I live the temperature change between daytime and night can be extreme, so I found layering the answer and this is exactly the weight I was looking for. The only problem I have is that the sleeves on the petite are way too long. I'm under 5 feet and its not unusual for my sleeves to be on the long side, but these extend beyond my fingertips. I'm going to keep the jacket and get it altered for a better fit, but I have to wonder if the pattern for a tall was used by mistake!

Rated 5 out of 5 by StillRiding My Current Go-to Jacket
Yes, it's incredibly lightweight and lacks any semblance of bulk, yet it somehow keeps me toasty warm, especially when worn over a long-sleeved t-shirt. I love the way it feels: like wearing a sleek, squishy sweater.
Won't work for days that require heavy-duty winter outerwear, but until I face that scenario I'm living in this jacket.
The bright purple isn't gaudy; reminds me of a purple pansy or iris. At 5'8", 135 pounds with long arms, the size medium fit me perfectly. Room to layer over a lightweight sweater, plus my wrists aren't exposed. Hooray!
