Rated 5 out of 5 by SisterPJ Very comfortable shoes
I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable for a long length of time, and these seem to fit the bill. I have yet to try them on the trail, but I like both the fit and the non-skid soles.

I have never written anything but glowing reviews BUT - I bought these last year in a wide width - and they are great! I figured I'd get a 2nd pair as back up and NOW they don't sell the wide width. Sigh - first they don't offer the Keen Newport Sandals for women and now they eliminate these in wide width. What the heck?

Rated 5 out of 5 by HeatherTee TERRIFIC WALKING SHOES
Due to long-standing Lyme disease, I have arthritis, peripheral neuropathy and collapsed arches, with lots of foot pain, resulting in a never-ending search for comfortable shoes that I can actually walk in. These shoes accommodate my orthotics comfortably and are very well-padded without being clunky. I wore them for a full day with no reason to change, very unusual for new shoes of any kind, let alone hikers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Moosie56 Great Hiking Shoes
I have problems finding comfortable hiking shoes/boots that will keep my feet happy on a hike for a few hours. These are so comfortable! I can hike in them for several hours with no pain or numbness at all! Great little hikers!

Merrell Azura Low Vent Hikers were immediately comfortable. The width and length fit me perfectly and allowed my feet to relax rather than feel cramped. Because of the mesh insert in the toe they also had the opportunity to breathe instead of promoting perspiration. They are sturdy and well suited to long walks. The laces are shorter and not slick thus allowing the wearer to adjust them as needed and not have to worry about laces dragging the ground. I plan to wear them frequently on an outdoor vacation and I have no doubt they will fulfill my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by slee Good shoes, happy feet.
This is the 2nd pair of these Merrell's I've bought. I wear width "C" which is too wide for most shoes and just a smidge too narrow for these. But I wear thicker socks for walking and things are just fine.
My first pair wore well and I expect these to do the same. They are very expensive, but coupons helped and the quality is high.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Moosie56 Comfy Hiking Boots!
So far these are sooooo comfortable. I have yet to wear them on a long hike but on shorter hikes my feet are quite comfortable. I was quite pleasantly surprised when Bean's customer service called me to make sure that I knew they were not waterproof before they shipped them. However, since the description did not say they were waterproof I didn't expect them to be. Love them!

I was on the fence about buying the Siren (on sale at the time) or the Azura hikers. After a few walks with each pair, I understood why the Azura costs more than the Siren. I returned the Siren...For my feet, the Azura felt and fitted better. Plus, they're in the color I preferred. Looking foward to a lot good hikes with them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KfromME These are not waterproof
They are nice looking. They are comfy but they are not waterproof. I stepped in a shallow puddle and my socks got wet. I shall be returning them because I need waterproof. If you don't, nice shoes.

I was looking for lower profile hiking shoes. I put on many miles every month. Fresh out of the box and on my feet, I did four miles and felt great! I have custom orthotics that I put in all my hiking and walking shoes. They fit just fine in these and felt every bit as good as I hoped they would. I love the color and style, too. I have LLB winter hiking shoes/boots that I've used for at least six years. And another pair of all purpose hiking boots that I've used for about four years. I was hoping these new ones would take the mileage and trail abuse that the other two pairs have, and hold up as well. I think they'll do as I hope. I'd recommend these without hesitation.
