I love this skirt!!! I'm 5.5 and 125 lbs, with long legs. Most skirts are too short and my knees show. But this one fits perfectly in a size 6 regular! It covers enough of my knee to be fashionable and not old school. paired with the french taylor shirt, a real quality look! thanks LLbean.

I had to return this skirt for a larger size, due to pocket-pooch. The larger size arrived today; it's really perfect. You could wear any cut or color of blouse, shirt, or sweater with this skirt and it will "go." I anticipate getting a huge cost-per-wear from this skirt.
Note: Even though it's described as wrinkle-resistant, you'll have to steam the creases out of it when you take it out of the bag.

I have been looking for a classic twill or chino skirt for years. I finally got smart and came to LL Bean. It fits perfectly. It will definitely extend my wardrobe. I have so many tees, shirts and blazers that will go perfectly with it. I have ordered another skirt in the khaki. Thank you, LL Bean.

I have 2 of these skirts now. I love that I can throw them in the washer and dryer, they look wonderful. Can dress the skirts up with heels for work then down afterwards with flip flops. You can move in these skirts and the elastic insert springs them right back into place. BUT....to get around the poochy pockets I buy them up a size, and to keep them just below the knee on my 5'3 frame I buy the regular instead of the petite.

I wore the original Bayside Twill Skirt for years many years ago. It did not come with an elastic waist and it came in two lengths - long and short. I tried the new Comfort Waist skirt about three years ago and had a problem with the pockets puckering out even with the next size up. A recent review suggested sewing up the pockets if you have a problem with the pockets so, I am giving this skirt a try. I really wish LL Bean would bring back this skirt without the elastic waist and also in a longer version.

I recently ordered three different skirt styles from LLB. This was clearly the winner. Good quality fabric, fits comfortably and looks stylish, nice length although I had to shorten the petite size about 1.5 inches (I am only 5'1" and the petite 4 fell below the knee). If you are petite and prefer your skirts below the knee this will work for you. The pockets are handy but a version of this skirt without pockets would be even better to streamline the hip area. Great go-to skirt in any color and you can't beat the price!

Love this skirt ! Lovely fabric, fits great. Looks neat, very comfortable and I had no problem with the pockets as some others seemed to. I'm 5'6" and the regular length just hits the bottom of my knee. I ordered my regular size and it's a perfect fit. I bought the stone, and just ordered another in twilight (would have preferred french blue but it was sold out). This time I ordered the petite just to be a bit more sporty. I know this will be my 'go to' summer skirt.

Love this skirt for travel. No fuss; trim and neat. I'd say it runs large--I'm usually a 10 and this skirt in a 10 is quite roomy--but great for walking, moving.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ellebe Good skirt overall...except for the pockets...
Okay, I bought this skirt in a size 12 Regular in stone, khaki, red, and french blue. It's a great skirt in so many ways - - exceptionally well-made, comes out of the dryer without a hint of wrinkling, good colors, high-quality materials, and nice extra touches. The problem with this skirt is the pockets that "pooch out" most unattractively, because the pocket construction is dovetailed in with the comfort-waist feature. I am a hour-glass figure, veering toward pear-shaped, and when I put the skirts on, the pockets would stick way out. Maybe if my waist and hips weren't so many inches apart, this wouldn't happen. I was wicked bummed to think of mailing them back, esp. 'cause I'd already washed them and really shouldn't send them back. So I found a fix: I took a needle and thread and manually sewed the pockets closed. The skirt gives a smooth, long, lean line now when I'm wearing an un-tucked shirt and because I used thread that exactly matches the material and a very fine stitch, I can wear shirts tucked-in too; you really can't tell the pockets have been sewn closed. So, if this is your problem but you otherwise love the skirt, give my solution a try!

This skirt fits so well , it's perfect, exactly what I was looking for.
I was leery of buying clothes on line but couldn't find what I wanted anywhere so I decided to give LL Bean a try and I'm totally satisfied.
