Rated 5 out of 5 by seekfivestars Terrific shirt!
The colors are great, exactly as shown. It feels like denim, substantial, but softer and very comfortable. Perfect fit, even the sleeves. Good to wear indoor / outdoor, casual, city, countryside, work, college, etc. Two button cuffs (which I insist on) and a spread collar that feels good to wear. Would I buy another - Yes - Of course, if you want quality, you have to pay for it. My investment paid off!

Rated 3 out of 5 by SanJuanMtnsHiker Nice Shirt but Overpriced
I've been ordering from LLBean since 1979 and this is the first time I was disappointed in the item I purchased. This is a nice shirt, but in my opinion it is not a $50.00 shirt. The value is not there. It should be priced at $35.00 and it would be a 5 star item. I would not recommend it to anyone at $50.00 or even the $45.00 sale price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeannette Very Soft, Well Made, Nice Shirt for both genders
This shirt is soooo very very soft and so very well made. I got one for my husband (XL regular) and one for myself (M regular) in the cream color (what a beautiful teal/aqua, cream and peach) just to see if I could also wear one. We both like this shirt! Fits true to size and does not appear to be too fitted at all. I find ladies long sleeve shirts to be so short-sleeved, and so many ladies shirts have really awkward/frumpy styles (and not very well made with lots of awkward fitting patterns). The men's shirts are so classic and nice and very well made (durable through many washings). I like to tie the tails in the front at the waist and it looks really pretty and is comfortable. My husband likes how soft and breathable this shirt is too. I just ordered two more (one for each of us) because these shirts are so soft and the colors are so lovely too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Norway Sturdy, not so trim
This shirt will be a great choice on a fall day, a bit heavy for spring. It is not as trim as previous trim fit shirts, a bit bigger that other trim purchases. Washes nicely and comes out of the dryer rady to wear. Touch up with iron if you like a more finished look. Since warm, trim fit shirts are few, buy it for next fall. Handsome colors.

I'm really happy I got this shirt! It looks great, fits me well, and the fabric is very comfortable. I got the same shirt with a different pattern also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrockH A Great Shirt
I'm wearing the shirt as I type this. It's a great shirt for several reasons. First, the look is very much as shown in the catalog. Second, although new it has a soft and comfortable feel. Third, the size as listed in the catalog is very accurate. I bought the slightly tapered version and it fits well, but it's not tight.
A general comment - my experience with LL Bean customer service has been outstanding. If an order wasn't what I expected or I'd ordered the wrong size, returns and replacement was done smoothly and with as little hassle as possible. That's why I was very comfortable trying the slightly tapered size - because I knew that if it wasn't a good fit, there'd be no problem replacing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ThriftyBiker Just Right
The loden plaid is almost art like in its pattern and combination of colors. The slightly fitted cut in XL Tall fits just right and allows good upper body movement without ballooning in the waist. I stand 6'2" with a 47" chest and 36" waist, and the feel of this shirt is almost like a custom fit. The fabric is tough but not uncomfortable on the skin. Love it.
