Rated 3 out of 5áby NEKVT Packs well
Perhaps the best attribute of this jacket is that it packs well into its own pocket. There is very little loft in the insulation and therefore does not provide as much warmth as down or fleece. The jacket functions well as a light windbreaker and a light mid layer.
Expect it to provide only about 1/3 to 1/2 the insulation value of a similar weight jacket in down. Compared to a fleece jacket it takes up about 1/4 the space in the pack, provides about 3/4 the insulating value as a single layer and about 1/2 the warmth as a layer under a shell.
If space is not an issue a fleece might be a better option. If wet conditions are not an issue, down might be a better option. It's a good fit for when space is and issue, it's damp and temps are in the 30-50's.

I ordered this jacket to throw in the bag for trips since it would take up little room (folds up into a jacket pocket). The Surprise is how warm it is! When I took it out of the bag after getting it, I thought something this thin cannot be very warm...WRONG! I have worn in in 50 degree weather with a short sleve polo and had to unzip the front from getting too warm. It is ideal as a crisp Fall day (or night) jacket. I suspect it will work as well in the Spring time too. Should have known better on the front end about the warmth since it came from Mr. Bean.

áby sea2summit Perfect
At 6'3" 190lb (size 42) a Large Tall fits me like a glove. Not too snug, not too loose. Perfect length in both arms and body.
I packed this jacket for a 3-day trip in the Pemigewasset Wilderness. Super light and packs small. Ideal for summit temps (30's - 40's) and typical wind. Breathes very well. Comfortable on the ground, too, as a way to maintain warmth without bulky outer layers. It instantly became a favorite piece of gear.

I bought this jacket with in mind that it may not fit right, not warm enough, and so on. Wrong on all counts. This jacket not only fits right, it is very warm and functional. We had our first "cold " snap as I speak, it fits great with only a t shirt under , I bought the XL I'm 6-3 230, but it looks great . My wife said, I what one, needless to say, I ordered her one, I'm hoping that the XSM (5-0 105) will fit her as well as mine. Good going LL Bean

Rated 5 out of 5áby CJ017 so far so good
Received my kelp green jacket and was very pleased with the fit. Was a little concerned about the fit in the upper arms, based on comments from LL Bean regarding the redesign, but there was plenty of room for me. I ordered a medium, and am about 5' 8" and 170lbs. I like the raglan sleeves, and the detailing on the jacket is well done. Zipper garages at the top and at the sides -features not present on the vest- are a nice touch. The drawcords for the hem could have been hung inside the jacket, making for a neater appearance. Stuffing the jacket into its own left pocket is a breeze and not at all difficult to figure out. The kelp green looks more brown to me, which is just fine.
Since it's late August, only time will tell how warm, windproof, and water resistant the jacket really is for me.

Rated 5 out of 5áby CapeCodFrank I love this jacket.
When I ordered this jacket in March, it was backordered until May. While I waited for it, I questioned the purchase many times. Was it right? Would it fit? What else was out there that I might get sooner? When it arrived and I put it on, I knew I made the right decision. It fit perfectly, was just the right weight for 50-65 degree weather, and it was so light. I have reached for it several times over the past two weeks and still love it. Very soft. Packs into its pocket, so it can go with you very easily. Also a great layer under a rain jacket. While I usually wear size XL shirts, I got the XXL size in this jacket. Glad I did.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Sweewilly Clever jacket in more ways than one
Size is true, jacket moderately slim to help fit under an outer coat in colder weather. Very light weight, yet insulated. Not prone to wrinkles, rain resistant. Yes it does pack into its own left zipper pocket, very easy, once you understand the principle. Pocket is not oversized either. Bought it for a trip to Alaska this summer.

Rated 3 out of 5áby bioboy Packable but not Warm Enough
About as warm as 200 weight fleece but wind resistant. Quite packable. Nice drawcord at bottom. Unlike description it does not have a hood. Neck is not fleeced. Arms of a large were about 33-34 inches, so a bit long but not excessive. I sent it back because I wanted more warmth. Insulation depends a lot on thickness and this is quite thin. It does not loft up like down will at all. Those who say it is good for 30 degrees weather I would disagree with. It is a better price than many competitor versions. I wish I could find down jacket of light-weight with a bit more warmth that would not break the bank.

Rated 5 out of 5áby PackMule99 Awesome Jacket - Proved itself
I am an avid skier, rock climber, hiker, and kayaker. I have used and abused many big name products. I purchased this jacket more for a layer and for its ability to pack away. Recently, we went to the whites to ski. As usual, the weather is unpredictable and what was to be a nice spring day turned into a winter day. I chose to ski despite this, and since I left my "winter" gear behind (very uncharacteristic for me) all I had was this jacket over my ski pants. I skied for half a day, in pouring rain, heavy sleet, white out conditions and cold temps (20 - 30). By the time we called it a day, my ski partner was completely soaked and I realized I was still dry and warm underneath this jacket. The ONLY place I was wet was under the zipper line. Without a flap to cover the zipper, water was able to seep in. I was dry and warm everywhere else. I am amazed, and incredibly impressed. I could have continued to ski that day, but my friend needed to call it quits because of the condition he was in! I am 6' tall, and 255 lbs, broad shouldered, long armed. This jacket in a 2xl fit me just fine, with room for my bibs and fleece. I often have issues with coats and shirts due to my shoulders and arm length, but I am very happy with this coat. I highly recommend this jacket.
