Yes, I read the reviews and knew that these ran narrow, but they were a good price and maybe, just maybe I would get lucky. I ordered a 10 which is what I wear if I can't get a 9.5 wide.
I opened the box and saw the shoe and how narrow it was (it was so narrow that it looked like something from 100 years ago) and I was like crud, these are ugly, narrow and now I am out $6.00 each for shipping ( I bought the brown and black).
I went ahead and tried them on. I untied the bow and wow oh wow, they fit like a glove. The leather is butter soft, of good quality. and very pliable. They are a little long looking and I wish that they had a 9.5 extra wide. but these will still be very nice for this year.

I had read that the shoe runs narrow. However, because I have 4 pairs of shoes from LLBean in my closet and all are size 6 1/2 M, I decided to order this shoe in size 6 1/2 M. They do indeed run narrow! I think that a wide would be too wide for me so I'm sending them back.

So comfy! These are going to be my "go to" for the summer. The metallic has just enough shimmer. I am normally one that wears drab colors ie shades of grey/browns But, I do like to show the girlie side of me and these shoes are perfect!
When I first looked at them I thought I ordered a narrow. But, they are medium width. I wear 8 1/2 and they are actually slimming for my feet. Since they are leather, they will stretch and will fit like a glove.
Great shoe for under $20!

Rated 5 out of 5áby BrooklynCamper These shoes are amazing! (Definitely narrow)
I cannot believe these shoes are so affordable. They look like they are designer boat shoes that would cost 5x as much. The brown leather is lovely, and they are a nice slim, feminine design. But they definitely run narrow. I have never ordered wide shoes in my life, but I ordered a Wide size in these and they fit great, I am so glad I did. I also fluctuate between a 9 or 9.5. I ordered a 9.5 and think that was also the right choice. I may buy another pair of these to keep on hand!

Rated 4 out of 5áby BeansRegular Surprisingly Good Fit plus Comfort
I loved the look of the Sable metallic boat shoes, so I carefully read all of the reviews and took a chance on ordering. I normally wear between an 8.5 and a 9 in most shoes from all major brands and LLBean. My foot is a normal medium width with narrow heels.
I ordered a 9 medium and the shoes fit like they were custom fit for me with bare feet. There would also be room for a thin ped or sock. There are no rubbing areas and no hot spots.
The only thing that is missing is some arch support. There is none. I bought some small arch pads that fit on top of the insole and they have really helped. Even without the arch pads, the insole was very soft and comfortable.
I suggest that only women with narrow to medium feet try these shoes now. You can also try what I have done in the past to stretch leather shoes that seem too narrow: Wear them in the house with socks that are slightly thicker than those you will wear with them. Keep wearing a thicker sock each day and wear that way for a few hours. After a couple of hours per day and a few days, they should stretch out enough to wear comfortably bare foot or with a thin sock.
I am now checking out the blue/green/white combo to wear with jeans. Hope you can get these in a size to fit you too.

Rated 2 out of 5áby Dustyoh too narrow
I ordered these shoes in wide, and by the time I tried to wear them, I realized they are SO narrow they will never fit my feet. They will look great in my closet until I get around to donating them to a local charity.

Rated 5 out of 5áby ShopperInCinci Great shoe IF you choose size wisely
I was skeptical after reading reviews on the narrow sizing, but at the incredible sale price, I took a chance on the 7 wide. They fit perfectly! Also, the first time I wore them, they felt as if I'd had them for a long time - no break-in period required.
I usually take a 6 1/2 in either a medium or wide width, depending on style. Wides usually don't work for me as they are too big in the heel area. I can sometimes take a 7 medium. This shoe in the 7 wide was perfect. The length was good and width comfortable. The narrowness worked for me as I only need the extra width in the ball of the foot. I look forward to wearing these with both jeans and business casual wear.

Because my feet are very narrow I rarely consider LLBean shoes that only seem to come in B width. Based on reviews, I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. They fit like a glove - soft as kid gloves on my feet. I ordered 1/2 size longer too in order to wear with socks. Sure hope they don't stretch out too much and get sloppy.

Rated 4 out of 5áby LadyHiker101 Beautiful but too narrow for my especially wide 9D
They are beautiful. If you like the look of a dressy boat shoe, these fit the bill. I would have kept them in a snap if they had been a bit wider. The silver was already sold out in my size even before they came on line. I've seen them in person on someone else's feet and they are so gorgeous, very classy.

Rated 3 out of 5áby JoNews Shoes run EXTREMELY NARROW(!) and somewhat short
This review is for the solid color Northport boat shoes, although the sizing likely also applies to the multicolor. The good part is, the leather is buttery soft, and the Soft Sable Metallic color is lovely.
As to the rest:
Never in my life have I worn size Wide shoes, that is, until I tried on LLBean's Northport Boat Shoes. They are EXTREMELY NARROW. My normal foot size is 8Ż Medium. Occasionally, I wear a 9 Medium. In these Northport Boat Shoes, I required a 9 WIDE.
Also, the colors I really wanted, the Soft Sable Metallic and the blue/green/white multicolor, are not available in Size Wide.
To LLBean: you must have known these shoes ran Extremely Narrow, so why didn't you offer ALL the colors in Size Wide?
