I purchased this rain coat for my 12 year old son. After SC battled unprecedented rains over the past weekend, my child gives this jacket a five star rating. Being out in the rain and wind, he says this jacket kept him warm and dry. Great purchase!

I purchased the rain jacket for two of our grandsons. They are visable (orange), dry, and warm. The added bonus was that both boys thought they were great, soft and comfortable. It was a win-win purchase.

I buy this big so my granddaughter can get a couple of years wear. This is a super jacket: flattering, warm and rainproof. The colors are very trendy. She loves wearing it. This is one great product!

My DGD loves her new jacket! It's cozy and warm without being heavy. Love the attention to construction details that LLBean puts into their children's items. She wore it last weekend to a college football game, and it was perfect against the sprinkles and breezes in the stadium. AND she'll wear it more than one year, and probably pass it down to her younger sister. This makes it a worthwhile purchase, and one reason I come to LLBean when buying clothes for the grands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CincyShopper100 Perfect jacket- travel to N.Europe- Stayed warm!
We took a special trip to Northern Europe this past summer, and knew we all needed windproof/waterproof jackets that had some insulation. The 8yo girl got this jacket for the trip and it was worn nearly every day - and she stayed warm and dry. Most days were quite windy and the hood was excellent to have. The jacket is sized well and we had gotten the size 8 and size 10 not knowing if she would need to go up a size. She used the size 8 (and she is average height/weight for her age) and had plenty of room to add a couple of layers when we were at the northern most part of the trip. In addition, the sleeves were long enough for her to be able to cover her hands when she wanted, but the sleeves were not too long nor in the way as the sleeves were adjustable.
I expect she will get a full year or two out of this jacket - it was a good purchase.

Living in the Pacific Northwest means lots of rain, puddles and wind. This coat keeps my daughter dry and warm which keeps mommy happy. Plus, she loves the pink color option!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dilli Toasty lined Rain Jacket
My grandchildren love, this nicely made jacket. I love it because it keeps them warm and dry when it rains. The only problem is that the pocket zippers keep getting the material caught when zippering or unzippering. My granddaughter gets very frustrated because she nor anyone can unjam the material out of the zipper. Too much material around the pocket zipper.

My 5 year old loves this jacket and so do we. Keeps him 100% dry; has a soft fleece lining that is still nice and light for warm spring and fall days here in Washington, DC; super packable; and the bright blue color makes his blue eyes really pop, but would be great for any kid since it's an outstanding color. I've already bought the next size up in case Beans discontinues next year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by FremontMom99 Durable and Practical Lined Jacket for CA weather
I bought 5 different colors for my daughter, my nephews (boys) , my mom and myself. I like the breathable rain jacket and the "Lined" material to keep dry and warm. There're several color options to fit younger or older kids, even adults.
I'm an Asian femal (160 cm/ 55 kg ; 5' 3''/110 lb) and my regular size is Petite M. But, I barely can buy a jacket with perfect arm length/hole and appropriate jacket length ( to cover the hip if it's windy). I bought size 18 for adults (myself and my mom), size 14-16 for my teenger, and size 10-12 for my nephews. This is really a " Good Buy !"
I'd like to suggest LL Bean to develop more light but warm material rain jackets ( keep dry & warm ) for kid's age group 10-18 since they need different /several jackets in backpacks or the school's lockers, even in the parent's cars! I usually buy 3-4 jackets for my kid every year to accommodate all her daily needs.

I bought this jacket for a family member in lime green. She loves this jacket. It's perfect for our cool rainy spring weather. I wish I could find one of these in adult sizes.
