Rated 5 out of 5 by CarmenSandiego Using this as an adult woman!
The XS trail model rain jacket for women was too big, especially in arm length. I'm 5'1', 112 lbs with a 32D chest. (I could probably wear kids sizes more often if it weren't for my chest!)
The Kids Large and XL fit me well, the L being quite fitted and the XL roomy. Most importantly, the arm length is much better than in adult sizes. I have a 30" sleeve length (measures from upper center back til wrist).
Aside from my kid sizing ;-) this is a great rain jacket! I got the least bright color, Raw Indigo. It's a grown up color, though the gray reflected bits feel a bit childish. Oh well, I'll take it for the improved sizing.
I highly recommend this lined version to the unlined. The fleece is soft and warm, but not at all heavy. It makes the jacket more multi-functional than without lining.
I love the hood; it stays up without needing cinching. The ripstop nylon fabric is quieter than most plastic rain jackets, though not completely silent. The wrist cinch is convenient, though also more for children playing around in the playground.
Overall, I like many elements of this rain jacket over the adult version. And cheaper, too!

LOVE this jacket for the appearance and functionality. The lining is great - keeps my daughter warm in the fall rainy weather and dry. I bought the light azure blue color - so pretty. She loves this coat too. Highly recommend - will buy again.

I ordered this jacket in a size 5-6 for my grandson who is almost 5. Grandson is tall and thin and weighs about 40 lbs. It is well made, but the sleeves are about 5-6" too long for him. Also, I was disappointed that the color was an orange red. However, he seemed to like it even though he hates the rolled up sleeves, so I will save it for a couple of years down the road and order a size smaller in another color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NWdadof2 Perfect jacket- except Flame color this year
Have bought 4 or 5 of these jackets for my 2 boys, now 9 and 12. They are great jackets. Bought the flame for my 12 yr old, this fall and had to send it back. He's had two prior versions of the orange/ flame. the Fall 2015 was MUCH brighter and more of a safety orange/ almost pink. I don't think the web site photos were updated b/c the jacket we received was waaay different in color than it appears on the web site. I had to send it back b/c he didn't like the color. No one else makes a good light fleece lined jacket like these unfortunately. He's still wearing his medium version, which he's barely able to fit into.
These coats are great for cool wet weather. My kids have worn these coats for 90% of the cool, wet Seattle winters. Highly recommend this jacket, but be warned about the flame color this year.

The jacket was very nice looking and a very good fit. The problem was the fleece lining , my daughter had a hard time getting her arm in when wearing a long sleeve shirt. then when pulling her arm out the lining came with it. should try using quilted lining I think it would be better.

Got this for my 11 yo daughter and couldn't be happier. We got the Azalea color and it is beautiful. Sizing is great as well. We especially like that it is lined, which is not so easy to find with a rain jacket. The lining is soft and will keep her warm but not so much that it feels like a winter jacket. Highly recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MichiganMathTeacher Strategic Placement of Reflective Material, Please
This is the second trail rain jacket that I have bought for my daughter. The reflective properties have been improved since my first purchase...which is why I ordered this again. My daughter walks to the bus stop in the dark each morning. Unfortunately, due to the placement of the reflective material on this coat, pretty much all of the nice reflective material in the front will be covered by the straps of her backpack, and the reflective material across the back is covered by her (LLBean) backpack.
LLBean, give some thought to some better placement for this reflective material, please...maybe a horizontal stripe across the entire bottom of the jacket, front and back, and/or a couple strips on the upper arm, front and back.
The teal color is just what my daughter wanted, however...I could have gotten a pretty coat at the discount mass retailer in town, I was hoping for a little better quality (love the ripstop fabric!) but was hoping for that extra safety feature of the reflection while walking to the bus stop.
The coat is a great spring/early fall coat, and has rain protection including a hood. I would still recommend this, but am disappointed that for $60, I am not getting the one quality that made me go to LLBean, the reflectors.
Hopefully once daylight savings time is over, there will be some daylight while the kids are walking to the bus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Carmen2 Kids' Trail Model Rain Jacket, Lined
I bought 2 jackets, one navy blue for my nephew(9) and one light blue for my niece(8). They loved the jackets and the colors. The jackets are very comfortable, made with a light material lined inside, waterproof, warm and good for raining days. I really recommend these jackets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CharliesMomma great color
This is a nice bright color that my 6 year old boy loves , the brighter the better. the lining was heavier than I had thought, but it should be good as the New England weather gets cooler and wetter..
