Rated 5 out of 5 by afhehiog Great pants!
We had previously purchased the Discovery Rain Pants for my son and loved them, but I decided the Tek2 would be useful at preschool so we went with the Trail Model Rain Pants this time. These have been great, as expected, even during unusually mild wet winter days (40-50 degrees). They keep his pants clean and dry, and add a slight layer of warmth to boot. We'll keep ordering them as he grows!

Rated 5 out of 5 by dmamet Comfortable and Good for Winter
These are better than the snow pants for my nine-year-old son. There is total freedom of movement and no bulk, which makes them comfortable, and his pants stay fully dry. He's been wearing these for all winter/snow activities. They are also compact and lightweight, which makes them easy to take anywhere. They run true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hikeknitmommy Great quality and price
I've been buying these for my kids for years. They hold up very well - through both kids and then passed on to friends' kids. They're waterproof (though they leak a bit if the kids are playing a lot on wet spring snow). Great price for the quality!

Sizing runs large - My almost 9 year old needed the size 5-6.
Also, the velcro at the bottom of the pant legs wasn't long enough to keep them cinched as she moved about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SMC3 Performed in Alaska
We bought these for our 3 kids for a 10 day trip to Alaska this summer. We learned it rains a lot in Alaska but that did not stop us from many hikes, kayaks and fishing. These pants kept them dry and they dry off quickly and were ready to put back on for the next event. I was supersized at the durability and performance for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by QualityonaBudget Best Rain Pants EVER!
My 10 yr. old son wore these during our Alaska trip this summer. Yes, it rained in Seward and part of Alaska's Inside Passage but guess what? My son was covered! Amazing fit and protection plus very comfortable. My son and I are pleased. Thanks LLBean for creating another wonderful product.

These are great rain pant for the money. We've bought them in the past, worn them hiking, sailing, and for skiing in the rain. We were so happy they come in large boys sizes. My son's quote though, "they look like old people's pants, don't they have any other colors?" This from a very tall 13-year-old, wearing size 18. Would love a red or orange.

The reviews of these wind pants really made the item appeal to me. However, I returned them because of the color. I really want black since that color goes with everything--but for some reason these very reasonably priced pants come only in blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gavebirth2boys Wicked Awesome for Winter Too!
My son, like most growing boys, tends to run hot. Therefore traditional snow pants overheat him with our outdoor activities. I bought a pair of Trail Model Rain Pants last year and they worked very well. We were able to engage in longer snowshoeing/cross-country ski adventures because he didn't get too hot. This year, I bought 2 more, one for home and the other for school. He loves them just as much. However, an additional advantage I just realized is the convenience of sending them to school, as they roll up so small that they fit neatly in his regular backpack and school cubby. Overall, I'd say the Trail Model Rain Pants are wicked awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShopperinPA Easy fit, comfortable and waterproof
I LOVE these pants. I wear them every day from fall through spring on my farm. They are wonderful and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who works or spends a lot of time outside like I do. Not only are they waterproof like they say, but they are also a wonderful wind breaker and they keep your pants clean when you are running to the barn between other "not so dirty" errands.I LOVE them and wouldn't spend a day outside without them.
