The line floats decently, but seems to achieve this through larger diameter (and corresponding lower density) of the fly line. Intriguingly, even when using a dry fly, the point where the leader connected to the line started sinking on me, and I had to apply floatant. Compared to other WF lines, there was very little difference in diameter between the tip, the body, and the running line, leading me to assume they have played with line density to achieve the desired weights. Casting was adequate, but there are better lines for casting if that is your main concern (it was not for me). The larger diameter seems to play a factor here.
I purchased this line because I was going to be fishing water that required a lot of mending and I thought the floatation characteristics would be worth trying out. After a few days testing in on the Arkansas in Colorado, I would say that its an adequate line, but also that I will probably go back to Sci Anglers for my next one.

Best fly line I've ever owned, and I've owned most of them. Lives up to all the hype - loads my med-fast 5wt beautifully, casts and shoots like a dream, mends like magic, and floats high to the tip. As a bonus I know it'll vastly outlast all the others - my experience with Airflo is they're typically good for four-five seasons of HARD use. I will never buy any other brand again.
