I purchased these to take to Budapest in December. I usually wear a size 10 or 12 depending on the pants. The size chart here said I should buy an 18. I thought that was ridiculous, so I ordered a 14. They fit in the hips, were too tight in the waist and were very big in the legs. I needed them for my trip so I ordered a 16. They fit in the waist, were (not surprisingly) somewhat big in the hips and huge in the legs. I mean clown pants huge. As the trip went on, they stretched in the hips and legs, not the waist, so they became very uncomfortable to wear in spite of washing them. They were so uncomfortable, I abandoned one of the pairs I ordered in Budapest. It's too bad because they are well made, warm and very soft. I will never buy these again and will think twice about L.L. Bean pants in the future.

The red does not run. I had been wondering if the dye of the red lining in these pants would run in the washer but it didn't. I've had many pairs of these pants and I love them. The stretchy waist makes them comfortable and the zipper and button make them function like real pants. (one version of these was just an elastic waist which I didn't like.) I love that these come in a tall. They fit so well and are flattering. They aren't baggy. And, obviously, the thing they makes them better than all other pants is that they are lined in soft flannel so they are warm.

I read a lot of the reviews and chatted with customer service and decided to go up one size and order a longer length. I'm 5'3" and normally wear a sz 14 in Levi's, so I bought the sz 16 LLBean pants in Med. Tall because I wanted to be able to roll them up. The waist is a bit tight for me, so may have to leave the button undone, but the thing I dislike is that they zip from the left side... that's very awkward for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by AnninCR short and baggy
These pants fit fine around the waist. They were a bit baggy everywhere else. They just did not seem to lay nicely.
The inseam was a 29" not a 30" as advertised and that one inch made a big difference. I am 5'7.5 and 140 lbs I sent them back.

Fits well- I ordered one size up as other reviewers recommended.
Not as warm as lined denim, but they will be good for spring.

Jeans are warm, comfortable and almost short enough for me! I am almost 5' and hard to find pants that I do not have to have shorten.

Rated 5 out of 5 by onecomfortshopper Great lined pants
These washed nicely without shrinking. Based on other reviews that these run small, .i bought one size up and glad I did. I'm usually a petite, but bought the regular length, and these are perfect. So as long as you buy up a size you will like these if you want some warm, lined casual pants. Wish there were more color choices.

These pants fit great. I'm 5.5 weigh 140-145. I ordered a size 10 to make sure they would be big enough. I can still wear my size 8 in most pants. (I have gained over the holidays). They were not as dark as I thought they would be but are nice and warm for working at home in cold weather.

I bought these pants because of the extreme cold winter. I was tired of being cold all the time. The flannel lining is warm and snuggly, the pants are comfortable, and they don't have the huge bulk of other lined trousers. I wish they came in colors other than navy and purple (black would be especially nice!).
My only negative comment is that, even with "medium tall" (32") inseam, they're still about 2" too short -- and that's before being laundered. Most "medium tall" items from L.L. Bean are the correct length for me; these seem to be the exception. If I purchase another pair, I'll opt for the "tall" length of 35".
