Most of the reviews are about the fit. For me, I ordered an XL (5'6 and a size 14) and they were fine. But I do like a bit more room in the bottoms....the foot is large but I can wear 2 heavy socks in cold cold water and be warm and the boot fit well. I got these last year...and have worn them probably 10-15 times. I recently wore them and got out in some deeper water and they leak. the seams don't seem to keep me as dry as they used to and so I am now in the search for another pair! ugh...I am not hard on my equipment either...so I have not been hiking through tough terrian putting undue stress on the waders. And, they have plenty of room in the legs and butt if I needed to. So the inside seams on the upper leg are not so good. Disappointing. I am going to have to get anoter pair for this fall and winter as I cannot be damp in that kind of weather...it is too cold for that. Especially in Northern NM, Colo, and Montana. For a cheaper pair of waders these are good if you can get them on sale and plan not to get into real cold weather or deep water....not sure how the seams will hold up. Usually LLBean's gear is really good....too bad on this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TroutladyUSA Waders for women
I spoke with a representative before ordering these waders. When I received them, I had never used these kind of waders before. I always had used the waders with boots attached. These waders were really great. I am about 5'6'' tall and they fit, a little bit snug but not tight. I could still wear pants under them. They are very light weight for fishing and I was not hot at all. For the price, they are a good value.

Rated 2 out of 5 by WVFishing Quality product, fit not good for a woman's body.
The waders looked and felt like a good quality product and was pleased with the gravel guard design. However, I ordered the XL that was suppose to fit an 18-20 size, and a 9-10 foot. They were too tight in the hips and crotch and the foot was more like a mens 9-10 (too big). The fit was more like a MEN'S size that I tried on at another vendor were the hips were more narrow and the stocking foot were too large. Had to return, really think that these waders were design for a boy or men's fit...not a women's figure. Ended up with a major brand that is designed for a women's curves were the crotch, legs and hips are considered in the design pattern.

Spend the money on the Emerger II women's waders instead, as the fit and quality is so much better. Ordered these for my daughter that is in environmental studies, (5'3" and 160 lbs) and I ordered both pairs in large so she could compare. As with other reviewers, she found these large waders to be enormous. If you must order these, go at least two sizes down, but even then I do not believe they'll be workable. Half the legs were left on the floor with this pair and she needed so much more in strap for the shoulder straps, too. The Emerger II's were a bit long, but fit and looked functional, and much better quality. She has been using Emerger II's with no trouble.

I bought the women's size small as a gift for my 5' 3" daughter. The waders we received would have fit a 6' 5" woman who wears a size 5 shoe! I am 6' tall and the waders came up to my armpits and the shortest adjustment of the suspenders placed them even with the bridge of my nose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fisher51 Good Fit - Good value
I ordered and received the waders in anticipation of the opening of trout season in New York, so I haven't used them yet. But, they fit very well, I'm 5' 7", 138 lbs - ordered a M. I had looked at lots of waders from different companies before ordering, these were a great choice.
