Rated 4 out of 5 by Housatonic Good value
Bike went together fairly easy. I haven't had much time to ride, but from the short rides I have taken I am going to enjoy this bike very much. Good value for the money.

This is a review for Men's Sport Cruiser 7 Bike with XL frame.
I usually never leave reviews and this is the first time I have ever shopped with LL Bean and since I was so impressed with the bike I decided I should leave a note to others that might be considering to purchase one.
I'm in my mid 30's, about 6'4" and 200 lbs. I haven't ridden a bike in about a decade so I'm not your typical bike enthusiast. I'm in relatively good shape but still a newbie with bikes. My main reason for purchasing this bike was to use as a commuter bike on my way to work which is 9 miles each way. For this purpose, it is great! The mechanics of riding the bike are smooth, the seat is firm but very comfortable and the upright riding position is wonderful.
I have also used the bike on dirt paths in a local park where it is also great fun to ride in this type of 'off road' condition. Overall, it is perfect for asphalt, concrete, hard packed dirt paths. I would not recommend it for rockier trails or mountain biking in general as it is not meant for that type of terrain.
It was also pretty easy to put together. It arrives in a large box that is able to be handled by one person. you only need to assemble the front wheel, steering, and seat and you're ready to go. I'm a mechanical type of person and it took me about 45 minutes before I was out riding around. I will mention that you do need to have a metric set of allen wrenches on hand and an adjustable wrench and philips screwdriver.
I love the metallic forest green color and LL Bean lettering on it looks super sharp. The styling is a unique color compared to other bikes I see on the road. My only complaint about the materials / look and feel is that they used a plastic chain guard. I think for the price a metal chain guard should have come standard. It wouldn't cost much more and it would be more durable and look a little bit more high end.
The weight of the bike is much lighter than I expected for a steel frame which was a pleasant surprise it makes riding it on longer rides much easier. Also, the wheels are very light - I think the rims must be made of aluminum or some material other than steel, they're great!
A note on sizing - I'm 6'4" and the XL frame was larger than expected. I barely have the recommended 1" of clearance when I stand over the bar and when I ride the seat is in the lowest position! If you are under 6'4" I would talk to LL Bean to see if an XL frame is right for you.
Overall I highly recommend this bike for commuting and casual riding in parks, roads, dirt trails. It is lightweight, durable, comfortable, and looks great too!! Five stars all the way!
Great job to the LL Bean team for sourcing a good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BobSaint Men's Sport Cruiser an instant hit!
I first ordered one for my wife. After unpacking the cruiser, I had It assembled, adjusted, and on the road in jig time! About 45 minutes.
I decided that this was too good to pass up. So I ordered one for myself! We are both really happy with our choice, we ride every day we can. We are both approaching 80! Thanks for the great quality and service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ToledoBill Great bike and easy setup
Being a moderately active biker, city and bike trails with some beach riding, this bike is a very good choice. It arrived within 3 days and was partially assembled. It took about 30 minutes to attach the handlebars, pedals and seat. The gears and brakes needed no further adjustment. This bike is a fun and easy ride and I would highly recommend it.

It's a fine bike for anyone who hasn't ever owned or wanted to own better. If you're used to shocks, a smooth ride, or more than an inch clearance from your foot pedals you will likely be disappointed.

Bought this bike and women's version for wife so that we could go biking with the children daily. Goes up hills and over gravel with good gear exchange. Wife likes the bike a lot and I like it a lot too. Assembly took less than a half hour from taking it out of the box and riding it. Had to adjust front brake pads slightly to align it with the rim. Wife says the seat is a little hard for her and wants a gel cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dobson Great bike for the money
I recently purchased the LL Bean Sport Cruiser 7 bike for myself and was pleased to find a quality bike at an affordable price. The Sport Cruiser 7 is well-constructed and a comfortable ride on paved roads and trails. It provides all the exercise I need to strengthen muscles around a knee that will eventually need replacing. With plans for regular use, I hope that the bike will be replaced before the knee many years (and miles) down the road.

We purchase his and her cruiser bikes and took them out for our first ride this morning. They handled well and were not too difficult to assemble. Time will tell how they hold up, but we are pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by beachdweller A good choice
I bought this bike to use at the beach, as the area is covered with bike paths. I wish I had bought it long ago. It has performed even better than I had hoped and is perfect for what I use it for. The 7 speed gearing is great-this area is very flat for the most part, and I don't have a need for more gears than that. It is light enough for me to hang up in storage when I am not using it.
Assembly was quite easy. Mine came without a kickstand, but Bean's remedied that.
