Five stars for style but two stars for fit - I wanted these since they first came out but they were expensive. When I found them on sale I immediately ordered a pair. I am very dsappointed. They are much too low waisted for an adult. The size 4 petite fit generously and the length is much too long. I have other styles of LLBean jeans in a 4 P that fit well and are not too long. I'm sorry that I must send these back because I really like the style.

The material is high quality, as expected--and light, as promised.
These jeans fit perfectly, and are very flattering, especially from the rear. I have worked as a fit model, and I ordered according to size without any "wishful thinking" about my true measurements; that is, I was accurate. (I know how to take measurements as I am a professional tailor.)
Regarding a lady who is 128 lbs. and 5'5", I am surprised that she had to get a size 14. I am that same height. When I was 128 lbs., I wore a size 4 (not 14). I understand that everyone has a different body type. But mine happens to be like the model who is pictured and the jeans do fit me.
For reference: I weigh 140 lbs.and ordered a size 8. My hips are

I have been searching for lightweight summer jeans and was very excited to order these bell bottoms which say "slightly fitted in the waist and hip." I ordered my usual size 12 at 128 lbs and 5'5", but the hips flare out at the sides making me look like a steamboat. i loved the fabric and was sad, but these went back. The waist fit nicely so I presume a size 10 would be tight in the waist. Very unflattering. Sorry LL Bean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ilovebooks Not for me
I had high hopes for these jeans because the bell bottom style is so flattering. However, they didn't work for me. I'm very straight-figured and I found these jeans too "hippy" and would have required an alteration (33" hips, ordered size 0 regular). I also wasn't crazy about the chambray-like fabric which was a little too casual for my office casual days. It's definitely a nice summer weight and the style is very nice, but I would have preferred real jeans. They went back.

Run small, had to reorder but item was out of stock. Too bad, because these were very nice jeans.

I normally love anything I purchase at LL Bean. Not so much with this pair of jeans. I thought the fabric was inferior to what I expected, the length was quite long to be a petite size, and the hem too wide. Unfortunately I bought the wrong size but even that didn't seem off that much but the overall appearance was not satisfactory, I was truly disappointed in my LL Bean purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gulyja nice pants but runs smaller
It is very nice and stylish pants but my usual size 10 did not fit me very well. I retuned them and exchange on size 14 since they did not have 12. Size 14 fit me well.

Great light weight denim. I'm a 2-4 petite, and the 4P is a bit roomy - I love them so much I'm going to try a 2P and keep these for those days I want roomy pants. After washing, the inseam is about 32 1/2" - too long for my 29-30" leg - even more reason to try the 2P.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ExpressoGirl Nice, comfortable, well made, too long
I bought the darker color. Flattering fit and very comfortable. I am 4'11'', 99lbs and the size 2 petite fit well except for the length-about 1.5 inches too long. I am still deciding if I will alter them or send them back. In general, I love the Signature line for pants, but they are always about 1-2 inches too long for me. They would have a rating of 5, but having to alter them after spending more on them than I typically spend on jeans lowers that to a 4.
