Rated 2 out of 5 by Brucie2 Size Chart vs. Linen Skirt Waist!!
I am usually quite pleased with my LLBean purchases. But this one is very disappointing! Since my waist measures 36" I ordered skirt in
size 18. There is a small elastic area in the waist so figured it would cinch if needed. However, the waist band is 2" too big plus the elastic is flat so it's useless! The linen material is very nice wt. & the length just right #I'm 5'4" so ordered reg.# Sorry but must return this item....

This skirt is a great summer wardrobe staple. The simple, classic cut dresses up or down and goes with so many things. The linen is cool and breathable, and does look great right out of the dryer. The flat waistband is comfortable and does not add bulk around the middle. I wear it with a button shirt untucked over it, as it doesn't look flattering on me to have a shirt tucked into it. I love the easy, modest length of the skirt, and I actually like that it doesn't have a walking slit, but I might suggest a slightly wider flare at the bottom to allow more space for movement. It doesn't interrupt my normal stride, but if I step quickly or stretch sometimes I feel the skirt pulling around my knees. As always, pockets are a huge plus. Great basic design of the sort I expect from LL Bean. This is why I wear the name almost every day.

I normally wear a size 8 petite in LLB skirts. When I had got this in a khaki last year it turned out to be too tight around the waist and also felt too short. I returned it. This time I ordered a size 10 in white and it seems a bit loose around the waist and just as short. I don't mind the length as shorter skirts seem to be what everyone is wearing. Also the fabric is beautiful although the white seems a bit see-through. I am still debating whether to keep it. If you like linen for summer buy it one size larger and if petite buy a regular length.

I am more than pleased with the washable linen fabric and floral pattern of this skirt. The side zip and hook closure is very comfortable and flattering.

This skirt is so not LLBean. It is very poorly made and not worth the price. The waist digs into my flesh and the skirt is too short. Had to return it.

I've tried many skirts from LL Bean, this is one of the few that has worked out for me. Yes, it may wrinkle a bit because it's linen, but the pattern helps hide much of that. It's so comfortable, and the colors go with many tops I already own.
I'd like us all to be informed shoppers - this skirt is imported from Sri Lanka. (LL Bean, please provide information about WHERE products are imported from. Also, please offer products made in the US whenever possible.)

Every season I look for great skirts and this one hit the mark for me. The fit is so flattering (in size 20). LL Bean removed the fly front that last year's version had and that's a great improvement. The fullness and a-line style is perfect - just the right balance for easy walking and a slimming look. The smooth front is slenderizing - the length is just what I wanted and I wear it too often so I am ordering it in another color. Sure hope they cut a winter version the same way.

Nice fabric, comfy, light and pretty for the summer but the cut is awful. I am an athletic 5'2", 100 lbs woman with a BMI that's too low according to my doctor, yet this makes me look fat. If you look at the picture you will notice the skirt falls very straight, with no curves and no flare at the end. It certainly does not make you look feminine at all. To make it worse, the elastic is too loose at the waist and I could fit and extra fist in there, so the waist falls low. I had ordered a petite in size 4.
I will either sew it better myself (redo waist and shorten it) or send it back depending on the cost if shipping (from Canada we have to pay for returns).
This is the third item that is badly cut and that I have to return in the last year, what is happening with LL Bean? Paying $13 to $15 everytime I return an item is not worth trying it on.

I ordered this skirt in two colors, but sent them back because the side pockets didn't lay smoothly.
