Rated 5 out of 5 by Rafdawg34 Solid waders
First time using LL Bean and tried them out since someone had recommended them to me for new waders. So, I recently bought these waders and have used them for about 15 days on the water. So far, great fit and comfortable. They fit my strout body well. Also, there are no punctures yet even with some thorny wading that I have done in this short period of time. Plus, they are easier on and off than other wader for some reason
One only slight issue I have is that the hand pockets in the front seem are not that big and seem to not fit where I would normally place my hands to put them in a front pocket

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blackdogfish Very good waders so far
Have worn these on several outings now and so far they are great.
I use these for both freshwater trout fishing and ocean/shore surfcasting in RI/MA beaches and rocks. They are doing great for both. These are nice and lightweight,,,the sizing, as is the case with most waders, can be tricky since you have the regular size thing as well as "Stout/Skinny sort of thing as well. I had to return one pair and get another to get a good fit. so be it. They are a bit baggy- I must say...I think this is just the style...maybe it's a "homie" thing. ;-)
I'd rather have them a bit loose than tight. They are really breathable and walking the shoreline and climbing over large rocks this past weekend- I did not get overheated and did not get damp underneath them. Awesome!
The silicone-plastic waterproof Ziploc pouch for cell phones inside the chest of the waders is great. it keeps my cellphone handy for taking pictures. Since the pouch is clear, I can flip it up and see whose calling and decide if I want to take the call/text...depending on how good the fishing is! ;-)
The "handwarmer" pocket and the small accessory pocket are just right and not overly complex. Straps and strap padding are great. Gravel guards work well in concert with my new Bean West Branch boots and keep sand out of the boots when surf- fishing beaches.Only thing I would have liked, and been willing to pay more for, is reinforced knees. Overall, very happy and I hope they are durable...who wants waders that leak when you're into fish at 3AM in the dark...I'd rather have waders that are durable and last a good while than have to rely on a return policy. But I know I'll be able to return them if needed.
I think my long term solution is to have two pairs. One pair as the backup, so if I need to ship a pair back for exchange the next morning after fishing, I can, and grab the second pair from the truck for that night.

by Michigan44degreesLat Functional and Comfortable
I planned to leave on my fly fishing trip to the Au Sable in Grayling, MI two weeks away from the day I ordered my Kennebec Waders with Superseam Technology. I could not have been happier and relieved when they arrived a week before I left, all that was left now was to try them on and hope the fit would be good. The fit is very good and the added bonus was the design, waterproof functional inside chest pocket which held my fishing license and wallet, chest hand warmer pocket - which got some use on the Au Sable in April, the zip close exterior chest pocket for left or right access, and the wading belt which is an excellent design for function and feel. Keep up the good work! L.L. would be proud of you!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MOFish Very Comfortable Waders
I really like this model of wader. It fits me very well and is comfortable in the water and walking on land. The hand and zip pockets are really handy. I really like the belt feature also as I can attach my wading staff and creel. Overall very good. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the first set developed a seep in the crotch in less than 3 uses...that made me look like I wet my pants when I took them off as well as a little damp feeling while using. LL Bean is great about replacements and I have another set that is dry so far. Again I really like these waders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jmackani They keep getting better
I had leaking stocking feet in previous waders which seems to be the wear point for myself. The new waders are making improvements. The belt design with the loopback velcro is simple to use and no fuss adjusting to your size. Stocking feet now have rubber non slip on the bottom to keep them from shifting in the boots so much. Quick release suspenders are good also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flyrook Newest Kennebecs
My original Kennebec waders from spring 2013 were exactly what I was looking for. I had a small leak after a year, returned them no questions asked and had my replacements in a few days. I had a small leak early this year and was stunned to find out the model I had was no longer available. Until...I was connected to very knowledgeable courteous gentleman who explained that the newer more expensive Kennebec waders would be shipped the next day, again no questions. I've been out waste deep many times since receiving them and just love everything about them. I'm so happy with LLB that I'll be trying their rods and reels next!

Rated 5 out of 5 by huntfishhikeboat very comfortable, only had them 3 weeks....
I fish 3-4 days a week during the season. These waders are well designed and functional. In the past waders seem to leak at the neoprene boot. I don't know if the new seam technology will help in this regard. Bean's customer service in far and above any of the competition !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I stick w/ Bean outdoor gear if possible.

To start I have only wore these once and I typically don't do reviews until at least a full season of use but here we go. I am 6'3" 190lbs. and wear a size 13 shoe. I had to get the XL and they fit well. I went to the store to purchase since the website doesn't have a sizing chart. The salesman mentioned he wears an 11 and just gets by with the Large. Thought this would be helpful to people who can't get to the store and try them on. Again I only wore them once and was very pleased. My previous waders were Simms Freestone waders. They are a bit baggy but perfect for those cold days when you need to layer. The attached belt snugs them up nicely and like that option a lot. They come with gravel guards which is important. Shoulder straps are comfortable and fit well. The pockets are nice to have. There is a inner waterproof pocket that flips out. Perfect for phone, wallet, fly box, etc. Outer pocket is perfect for a small to medium sized fly box. That pocket has a zipper on each side and holes for your tippet if you wish. The third pocket is fleeced lined and great for hands on cold days. I put a 16oz. Water bottle in it and held it just fine. They don't bunch up in the crotch as other waders do. Very nice! Overall I'm pleased with them. I gave them 4 stars since i don't know how well they will hold up over time. Definitely recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by plankster great fit
I am 5' 7" tall and weigh 182. pretty solid body type (44-46 short) and I have had problems finding waders that fit. I bought the stout medium size and they FIT! I can't comment on the leak proofness of the waders yet but I know that LLBean will stand behind their products.
Now I wish that they also made a boot foot model for freezing weather in the same size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flyfishn Great service, comfortable stocking foot
I placed my order on a Saturday evening, ordering extra large as I was concerned about the stocking foot fit. The order arrived Monday! Tried them on, two big in the legs and stocking foot. Sent them UPS on Wednesday to exchange for a large. Those arrived on Friday! Unbelievable! The large fit fine. I wear an 11-11.5 shoe and the stocking foot seems to run just a bit bigger. Put my warm socks and boots on and my toes weren't cramped. On top of that, Bean's had their 20% sale. One call and I received the discount. I'll be retiring in six weeks and look forward to putting my new waders to the test. Thank you LL Bean for your wonderful service.
