This is our first kayak. I was looking for something to be able to take a couple of kids out in or my husband and I. First of all it paddles great and is super stable. We take it to the lake and use it for kayaking and let the kids jump off of it. When it's hot I keep some of the scupper plugs out and now for fall we put them all in and it worked excellent. We have enjoyed it very much during the last month we have had it. I would definitely recommend this kayak to people. We had it out today and there were some pretty good sized waves on the lake and this kayak was steady as can be with me and my 2 nieces in it. Oh and we also use it for fishing out of because it is so stable. We fit 2 people, poles and tackle boxes in it with no problem. I had read this on another review and that is what sealed the deal for us to buy this one. We are considering a second one because they are so versatile.

Though a little heavy, with another adult, this easily is carried for transport on top of my Suburu Outback with only some foam on the crossbars, strap it down and GO! This is important so we can be ready to go to any launch site and quickly get going! Comfortable, stable, tracks fine. Big husband, no problem! We've explored marsh streams with dams, ponds, lakes and coastal harbors. Fun for exploring the sites and birdlife. It's going to be on our roof going South next winter. Love my Cascadia!

This is a large kayak and it has taken some time to coordinate two people paddling. The kayak is heavy but is very stable . It had two broken parts . One was insignificant and the other was available at a major online retailer.

Got a great deal, 20% off. Delvered right to my door. We live on a small lake and need to stay active. Both of us are 60. Looks cool, rides high, not for choppy waters. Only mistake, didn't order a locking device. It weighs 75lbs. A bit heavy is only drawback. Just had for 2 weeks. Try to update this mid summer.

I received this kayak as a birthday gift this summer and have used it over a dozen times. I am really loving it!! The kayak is very comfortable and room and is quite stable. I have used it primarily on the Huron River which is a slow current and have found it to track well and be easy to maneuver.
While my wife and I have enjoyed kayaking together, I also have enjoyed this kayak by myself. When positioned in the center seating spot the kayak was very easy to paddle and maneuver. The kayak was really great to fish from giving abundant space for tackle boxes, poles, and gear. Even paddling up a light current, this kayak does a great job.
I would highly recommend this to a family (we have taken our grandson and dog out and both loved the experience), couple, or even an individual who wants a larger kayak for fishing or floating.
I am a big guy (6'6" and 240 lbs) and this kayak is very comfortable and roomy with good leg positioning. It is a bit heavy and long and a little more of a challenge to load and transport, but worth these draw backs.

I picked this up for our family, and so far we've had a blast with it. This is our first kayak, and the first tandem I've used, so I don't have a great frame of reference, but it has proved to be super stable, yet very maneuverable.
We love that it can easily accommodate three people, though the middle seat would best suit a child. It's not as speedy as other kayaks I've tried, but that may be true for most tandems.
Being an open, sit-on-top kayak, it feels a little like a canoe, but has the lightness, easy-handling, and speediness of a kayak. Those looking for a less-expensive, stable, and durable option for day trips on flat water will find this a great choice.
