This blouse is unbelievably soft and comfortable. It's nicely tailored. It looks good (I bought the purple, on sale), clean and crisp. I highly recommend it. I'm sorry it's on sale and will soon be gone! I also like that it doesn't have breast pockets. A ladies' blouse looks more refined and less like a work shirt if it doesn't have breast pockets. Thanks LLBean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TrixieR Great little shirt!
I don't agree with the other reviewers that the shirt is see-through. I don't find it to be see through at all. Lightweight - yes. Super soft fabric, too. I ordered the orchid and it was a nice shade of purple.
It could be worn on its own but I plan to wear underneath a sweater. I am 5'3, about 128lbs and 34C bust and the small fits well. It is a little boxy but I don't mind since it is going to be worn as an under layer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ktoe Lightweight Gingham Blouse
When I received the shirt, my first impression was how thin it seemed. Luckily, the herringbone weave helped make the fabric strong. The website says the blouse is slightly-fitted. The back had long darts and the front only had bust darts, so it was boxy. I bought the aurora purple thinking it would be more lavender, but it was more pink instead. The colors on the computer were misleading. I will keep the shirt, because I plan to wear it under a heather-colored sweater.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sweatersavvy Wonderful fabric
I bought two of these shirts on sale. I take a large; I am 155 lbs., 5'8" tall. They fit well except the neck opening is way too large on me. The fabric is very soft and attractive, and I'm sorry to have to send them back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Reviewer721 So sheer, must wear camisole
Bought the dark blue and white check. It is very, very sheer - must wear with camisole or layering tank, and who wants to do that in the hot hazy days of summer? Also, shirt does not keep its shape after first wash. Do not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ColoradoBeanFan Cute Blue Gingham
My shirt came today - was happy to see the fabric was very light -- good for summer when I need long sleeves, but I'll wear it year-round, maybe with a vest sometimes. It doesn't look like it wrinkles -- hope not. Sizing was good. It's been years since I've found a cute gingham shirt like this one -- happy I got it. I love the blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BeansRegular Summer comfort
I love classic gingham (and seersucker) fabric and this shirt was just a reinforcement of the reason I love it so much. I purchased this shirt in my regular LLBean size and it fit very well. The fit is supposed to be comfortably loose. What impressed me the most was the amazingly soft fabric. It felt almost as soft as a pima knit tee shirt! The Aqua mint color is a wonderful blue-green color. The shirt wears light and cool in hot weather. It washes well and dries without shrinkage or wrinkling. I am trying to decide on a second color now. Like a previous reviewer, I would love to see a restock on the radiant blue color, but I guess that I will need to wait until next year.

I already purchased the purple gingham and love it! It is so soft and light weight I can wear it on the hottest days and still be comfortable. It can be worn right out of the dryer. The fit is just right (size L) and the sleeves are plenty long.

Rated 4 out of 5 by pixille great lightweight fabric here
I like this shirt--even though as a medium it is, like other reviewers said, "a little boxy." The lightweight fabric is perfect for hotter climes, and it really doesn't need ironing. It is a very roomy comfortable shirt--works well with a tank top underneath.
