Generally I wear medium in LL Bean tops. But for these Henley
I ordered large to allow for shrinking as other reviewers reported that shrinking had happened. I immediately washed one of the two that I purchased and tried it on. It was Fine!!! I washed the shirt in cold water and dried with the cotton cool down cycle...
Now I am looking forward to weather a bit cooler so that I can wear my new Henley!

Rated 5 out of 5 by YoYosMum Perfect for Winter
Moved from So Cal to southern Utah last year so ordered 3 of these Henleys & wore them constantly--it's COLD here! Just ordered 3 more for this winter so I don't have to do laundry so often. Theses shirts are kind of snug which feels good. I mostly wear these & the fleece lined flannel shirt all winter long.

I love these shirts & have minimum shrinkage. Very comfortable! I just wish LL Bean would have these shirts in mint green or light green. Some colors are nice but in the fall & winter it"s nice to wear brighter colors and LL Bean carries very few shirts in green. Bring back lighter colors besides the typical white, blue or gray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MarinaMama I'm living in these!
I got three of these, close-out colors on sale, and I wear them every day here on the coast in springtime. The peony heather is the prettiest pink ever, and I got it in M petite which fits me perfectly (5'4", 125ish). The sleeves are nice and long, not too fitted except for the perfect long cuffs that cover my wrists completely, even in the petite. I like the deep placket; if I unbutton it I can easily pull the shirt over my head without mussing my hair when it's wet (I have curly hair and don't use a dryer on it). For me this shirt is perfect, and I think I'll be able to wear it in the winter with a scarf to keep my neck warm. The fabric is soft, cozy, and breathable; very comfie. A winner!

Too warm for the warm blooded and not enough fun with so many other choices available. In better health now, I am out and about in Bean's beautiful wool blazers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gcbari fine garment for the price
I have two of these, and just ordered another. I'd get them in every color, however the brighter colors look awful on me, so I'm limited.
But there're enough, almost...
Every time I'm stumped for something to wear, out this comes. It does shrink in the dryer even on super low, however you can easily bring it back to size with some judicious ironing.
And you can dress it up or down, it's really wonderful.

The waffle Henley is nice to the touch, comfortable, warm but not heavy. I ordered 3 colors. All 3 shrunk in length.

I've always liked cotton thermals. These shirts are very soft, they wash beautifully. They keep my body temperature pretty even. I now have seven(!) of them in different colors. Please keep them around for a few years!

Rated 4 out of 5 by AgingGracefully comfy but order up
I have a couple of these and will order another. I usually wear a small, but agree with reviews that you need to order up a size. The Medium gives me room to put a camisole or tank under it, but the shoulders still fit fine. It's a bit lightweight for a waffle weave henley, but it's great for year round wear. And plenty long.
