Rated 2 out of 5áby NorthofSF Sadly, must rate this frumpy and dumpy
In spite of mixed reviews for this shirt, I ordered it because the item description seemed reminiscent of the original women's Double-L long-sleeved polo, which had a shorter, top-of-hip length and a boxier cut that still managed to look a bit A-line on the body, so it didn't make one appear barrel-shaped. Alas, instead of creating the slightly A-line shape I was hoping for, this polo bows out at the midriff, making for a very dumpy, Pillsbury Doughboy look (I bought it in white). And because I bought a light color, the sheerness of the fabric is very noticeable, clearly displaying the jacquard design of the nude-colored bra I was wearing when I tried on the shirt. As the shirt was on sale, it isn't worth the time or money to ship it back, so I'll keep it to wear only when I know I won't be seeing another soul, or when I just want to embrace middle-aged frumpiness!
Though I was able to get the shirt over my head without trouble, I can see what other reviewers mean about the relatively small neck opening. I like that there are only two buttons, which is the number of buttons a classic polo shirt should have, but that's about the only resemblance this shirt has to a proper polo. Product reviews reveal many suggestions for changes to items to meet our own personal preferences, so I'll weigh in with mine: perhaps offer the classic Double-L women's polo (in pique and jersey) in both the shorter, boxier cut and in the longer, shaped and fitted style, too?

I have ordered several of these shirts for a couple of years now and still love 'em. Lightweight, good length and durable. They are obviously popular because many times I have tried to reorder and found most sizes in all colors depleted! Would like to see more colors - black included.
My only complaint is it is understocked!

I love this shirt. I bought the first and loved the way it fit and washed so ordered another. Today I am ordering a third. Weird? Maybe, but I like the fit, the comfort and ease of movement of material, and the navy is great.

For the first time with any of Bean's button polo shirts, I couldn't get the shirt over my head without feeling like I was going to rip the shirt. Sadly, I had to return it. I'm sure people with smaller heads to get through the opening are enjoying it. The fabric and sleeve length felt comfortable. Oh, I usually wear a size large in a hat.

I have ordered many of these shirts over the years, not the same quality, not close, and what happened to the collar and fabric? Sorry to have to be negative, but this is not the quality I have come to expect from your company.

I PREFER SINCE LIVE IN FL THE ELBOW SLEEVE POLO WITH THE MANY BUTTONS, BUT SINCE THEY ARE ALWAYS SOLD OUT I BOUGHT 3 OF THESE---1 STRIPE & TWO PLAIN COLOR.. THEY ARE OK BUT I FEEL SO BUNDLED UP IN 2 BUTTONS AND THIS NECKLINE IS TOO HOT IN FL EVEN IN WINTER MONTHS AND IT CERTAINLY IS NOT BECOMING TO THE FACE & NECK. I HAVEN'T WORN YET, SO MAY RETHINK & RETURN.

I've had several of the former version of the 3/4 sleeve polo shirt and miss being able purchase more colors or replacements for worn out shirts. Please bring back the regular, multi-button, 3/4 sleeve polo! Thanks for considering...

I had purchased several of these shirts 2-3 years ago and was very pleased with them, in fact I sought them out in the outlet stores and have almost every color. I recently purchased some in white and find the fabric much lighter in weight and prone to piling. When I looked at the tags, I found the original shirts I purchased were from Peru and the new ones from Cambodia.
I really like the cotton fabric, rather than a mesh polo - I find the softness of the fabric very nice in summer and the drape is more flattering. I am a petite and like the length of the shirt - it hits at high hip, so I can wear it "untucked" with ease. The shirts are a boxy fit (perfect to hide middle age expansion), without being too square and the neckline is not too low if unbuttoned. The three quarter sleeves work well for summer, but also for wearing under jackets and sweaters in the spring and fall. All in all I really like the style - it's my go to summer polo, but would like a return to the "Peruvian" fabric - if the buyers and sourcing staff are listening!

The Saturday t-shirt is made of very soft cotton. The 3/4 sleeve is perfect for an air-conditioned office, and the soft light-weight cotton makes it very comfortable when you go outside from your cold office into the warmest air. Have bought 3 and will buy more. This is a perfect top for a casual office environment.

I usually love LLB shirts, but this polo style has changed. With only 2 buttons at the neck, it's hard to pull over my head and just doesn't look like a "normal" polo that typically has 4 or 5 buttons. Also, it's too short. I was going to use it to play golf in, but the short length doesn't allow for that. I'll be returning it.
