Rated 3 out of 5áby Jackbean Nice pants, but two watch outs
These pants are very nice overall -- good material, waist and length are spot on for me. That said, I am returning because the rise is to short for comfort. The other item to take note of is the front pocket size -- very small. This on it's own would not prevent me from keeping, but is a bit odd. I really wanted to like these, but wasn't meant to be.

I love the 1912 Corduroys so it seemed like a no-brainer to get these for warmer temps. The material is a little heavy so they are good for early fall/spring. The fit is a little bulky and the pants feel baggy, not at all like the corduroys.
All of that aside, they wear great. I like the hidden front pocket even though I rarely use it. It's great for storing a phone or something you don't want slipping out of your pocket or banging around with other things. It may even stay hidden during a police search, though I have no reason for this feature.
Overall, the pluses and minuses balance out to make them good pants if you are expecting what you get.

Rated 5 out of 5áby MikeW51 Great chinos
These are my favorite pants for fall through spring. I like the standard fit, it rides just above hips. Great fabric - it thicker than most chinos but very soft. It washes well and doesn't wrinkle. I also like the construction details - double stitching and very nice pockets including a zip security pocket in the front right pocket. And did I mention they are a really good value too! I think they will last me for many years.
Bring them back as a regular inventory item. I own two pairs but really want to buy the dark khaki color too!

Rated 1 out of 5áby JimJohnColorado upsized too much
I've ordered the 1912 line in the past and found them comfortable. I wanted another pair, but they must have been upsized, because the fit is now too baggy and the rise is too high.

Rated 5 out of 5áby MattinPittsburgh Great pair of pants
I've been searching for a great pair of pants, and here they are. Soft but hold their shape over the course of the day. Super comfortable, plenty of room in the seat and thigh, but I don't feel that they're too baggy. I like the zippered security pocket too. Great for work, great for play. These will be my go to pants for the rest of my life. Keep makin' 'em, Bean, and I'll keep buying them.

These fit well through the waist and upper thigh, but they have absolutely no taper toward the knee. Look like parachute pants.
I'll be returning them, but it's too bad because they felt great. Just looked bad.

I am keeping these pants because I like them otherewise, but they are definitely very wide in the leg. My wife is going to take them in a little.

These Khakis are just perfect combination of fabric, style, fit and quality. Little relaxed but not too relaxed...plus soft yet sturdy fabric does not make them look loosy-poosy. These khakis look very sophisticated. I hope LL Bean does not stop making these khakis, I am planning to buy more of these in other colors whenever they become available.

Great pants. I agree with another reviewer that the legs are a bit baggy, but they're not too bad. Certainly more so than as depicted in the images on this site, but that makes them very relaxed and comfortable. The fabric compares well to another more expensive brand I'm fond of but unlike that brand, these DON'T SHRINK! The zip pocket is very discrete and a useful touch for travel. I'd like to see a diamond gusset crotch and double stitching on the interior of the leg and we'll be at 5 stars.

I agree with LARRY47BRONX and I'm in the same boat. The construction is great and love the fabric and color but the legs are way too wide. I logged back in here to be sure I ordered the correct fit and for me (even with legs from years of cycling) the legs were way too wide.
I typically run between a 30-31 waist and 29-30 inseam. The waist seemed true to size but they were a bit long.
Again, same remark, Bean should make these in a trimmer cut and I would own 2 pairs of every color.
