I love, love, love these slippers. I am a fan of the "scuff" style, which i find is either loved or loathed generally. They keep my feet nice and warm without overheating and are very snug. I also found them to be sufficiently cushy to stand in. My back tends to get sore very quickly while i'm working in the kitchen, and these offered enough padding to alleviate this. It's also nice that I can wear these around the house, and don't have to worry about changing into shoes when i need to dash outside to the garden or mailbox because they have a nice rubber sole.
Yes, the shearling inside does flatten down, but i never found that this affects comfort or warmth.
I generally wear a 6.5 wide but LL Bean shoes generally run large for me so i got these in 6 medium, and the fit is perfect.
My only complaint, and this is a big one, is that after about three months the stitching that connects the sole to the suede began to unravel. No sweat, i just returned them and got a new pair. But this new pair (i'm not kidding here) is two left feet. More specifically, the "right" slipper has a right sole with a left upper. You'd be surprised by just how uncomfortable this is. I have concluded the manufacturing process for these particular slippers has a few kinks and you'd be best to try these out in store so you can make sure you're getting a quality pair. Hopefully third time's a charm for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SP5952764 Could not walk in slippers
Slippers were of fine quality and comfortable, but I could not walk in them. They were not too big, it was just that the low heel of the slipper did not allow the shoe to stay on my foot. I am a senior and did not want to fall again as I did the past year. I really tried to wear them, but they did not work for me. I have purchased moccasins in the past where the heel came up all the way and loved them. I returned them and got a refund.

Love theses slippers. Very comfy. However, within 2 months the shearling wore away in the toe area. Slippers were only used for, perhaps, 10 mins a day. Very surprised that this occurred. Will return and try another pair. Hopefully just a defective pair.

The reviews I read helped encourage me to get these slippers. And I'm so glad I did! They keep my feet warm and NOT SWEATY! That's my biggest complaint about slippers, is that my feet sweat in them, but not in these. And they keep my feet warm like no other slipper. I read some reviews saying that they would slip off since there really isn't a back or heel on these slippers. But I have not had that problem, so don't let that discourage you from getting them. You'll love them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by thebeachforme Very Nice But Run Quite Large
The title says it. The slippers are well made, comfy and good looking, but the "order the next size if you wear half sizes" still doesn't allow for a good fit; they run bigger than that!

Love my scuffs! This is my third pair. I've replaced them possibly every five plus years since I wear them almost every night. Takes no time to form to your feet and they are so comfortable!!! My last pair may be worn but they are now becoming my traveling pair. Love, love these scuffs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CSilva Not what I expected
These were not very comfortable at all. There was almost no padding in the soles and the fuzzy part at the heel wore off after just a couple of months (I only wore these in the evenings). Also, they are pretty ugly - very clunky looking.

I love the slipper. I could not get used to where the back sat at the bottom of my heel so I exchanged them for the full slipper. It was not the slipper though, it was just my preference.
