My son loves his camp hoodie. He's had his for 2 years now and it still looks new. He recently noted that it was getting small and requested another one. It's the perfect weight for spring and fall mornings at the bus stop. Zipper is sturdy and easy for kids to zip. Very washable, colors are bright and don't fade (that I've noticed!). All in all a terrific jacket. I want one for me.

I got this jacket in Mariner Blue (size Med) two Christmases ago for my son, then 5 1/2 (he is very tall for his age). I had first ordered the small in the jacket but exchanged it for the next larger size, as the fleece lining takes up a bit of extra space and he needed room. This is his third season of wear out of the jacket. I will be ordering the Large (or possibly the XL) for next fall. My son had been jealous of the soft fleece linings available for his sister's clothing. He has several jackets with berber lining, regular fleece lining, and also flannel lining. However, the extra soft "mink" feel to the lining of this camp hoody is exceptionally soft, and he favors this jacket time and time again. Sometimes he even sleeps in it or next to it. I have trouble getting him to let me wash it. Maybe I should use some of my LL Bean Credit Card points to get two of he jackets for next year. The blue is acceptable for a school uniform, so he can even wear it in class.

The plush fleece is extremely comfortable. I have the chocolate and mariner blue hoodies, and I find the chocolate one softer and smoother than the blue one. The color of the plush fleece is darker than the blue hoodie, too. Not sure why it's softer. These hoodies are so soft I wear them to sleep at night without a shirt. Even the outside of the hoodie is so soft. Except for the dozens of static shocks I get when I remove the hoodie, I really love it. Not sure if it would be a good idea to have an elastic hood.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received the jacket. It is very well made, material is super soft and cozy, inside is neatly lined, and it looks much better than in the picture. My son, who typically refuses to wear jackets, loves to wear it. I wish it came in adult size too. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

My 10 year old son LOVES this fleece lined camp hoodie. He lives in it. He wears it everyday!!! He had the blue one but it got to be too small. He received the red xl one for christmas. He would like another one for his birthday. Best purchase I ever made :)

my son absolutely looooves this sweater. mind you he is 13 and does not like anything i buy for him...what do i know right?
anyways i got him the red color in 14/16. i think they run a bit small and it seems that the sleeves length are disproportionate to the body. i say that because i have bought three. but nevertheless as kid grows i will have to buy more. the first day he received it he loved it so much i found him sleeping in it. that night had been a cooler than normal. so he tried it out. i have to wash it twice a week because he wears it everywhere. this is his winter jacket. we had a very warm winter so it was perfect for those chilly mornings. it washes wonderfull and it seems it gets softer with every wash, it has not shrunk at all. the sleeves do not have the same lining as the body but it is lined nonetheless. the sweater is not bulky but it's thick and warm. it has a weight to it. i cn't say how much he loves it.

I bought this hoodie for my grandson. He loves it. He says it is so cozy and warm. He's now wearing it for the 2nd year and its still in great shape. When he outgrows this hoodie, I will buy him another from LLBean. The fit is great, outstanding quality. Well worth the money. I want one for myself !!!!

When the red fleece lined hoodie for my grandson arrived, I was disappointed to see that the color was not as shown in the picture. Instead of a white fleece lining which seems to contrast beautifully with the bright red, in reality the lining and contrast stitching is a beige/tan making the garment appear dirty and cheap. And what appears to be bright red in the picture is a dull red. So sad!

This hoodie is of good quality and my son hasn't taken it off since it arrived, but I am STUNNED that for $40, the garment isn't completely lined! The hood and front and the back of the torso are lined with a luxuriously soft material (silkier than regular fleece), but the sleeves are not! How cozy is that?? I won't send it back because my son loves it, but had I known, I probably wouldn't have bought it, or at least had waited till it was on sale. The description for this product is misleading.
