My son has been wearing this jacket for 3-4 yrs now and it's still going!! It's his FAVORITE jacket because he says "it's SOOOO SOFT". He's 8 yrs old so this jacket has seen a lot of rough use and has held up well. He will need a bigger size next year but the 6-7x size lasted us a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by upstateabba Well-made, wide fit
I purchased this for my slim granddaughter because she doesn't like "girly" colors. It is very well-made and the Mountain Red color is very attractive. However, I am returning it because, unlike other LLBean fleece-lined hoodies she has had in the past (and still wears), this one was just too wide for her. It would probably work well for children with a medium or even slightly heavy build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AnnieOH super soft & warm... fleece-lined camp hoodie
Was surprised at how weighty warm & nice this is. It is very warm & very, very, very soft inside. VERY soft inside. Outside is sweatshirt material.
Purchased the orange which has a light tan colored "silky-soft furry" lining. The orange is not as bright as I'd like it to be, more like a typical sweatshirt color. This color would look great on blondes & red-heads.
It is a bit roomy for slender builds.
I LOVE the bright blue & dark navy color LL Bean carries. They are usually the colors I buy for the "boys" big & small in my house.
Made well in China. If manufactured with quality in USA, would be happier.
Would buy this again. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pecksniff So sad to return fleece-lined camp hoodie
This hoodie, size 14-16 was my grandson's 3rd one. His first was S8,2nd one size 10-12. He loved them so and wore them until they were too small and too worn to be passed down to younger brother. Now he is a thin, gangly teen-ager-long legs and long arms, and the arms on the 14-16 were too short for him. But I still buy them for his brother and also for my granddaughter. They are the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nain Still good after 2 years of wear
This hoodie was purchased 2 years ago for 4 year old. Soft inside, durable outside and warm [Virginia winter climate, not New England]. Size ran large enough that it still fits well enough for him to continue wearing. Cuffs were rolled up at first. Unless Bean has changed manufacturers, this is worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by travellllller Length runs a bit short-pockets too small
My son LOVES this coat because of the fluffy liner and warmth. We ordered the largest size that they make- which I believe is an 18. (he is wearing it at school right now so I can't check the tag) and it fit perfectly other than the length of the jacket being a bit short. He chose to keep it even though it wasn't as long as other sweat jackets that he has, because it was "thick and warm and cozy." His only complaints have been that the pockets are too small and the coat is a bit short. His hands are not covered when he puts his hands into the pockets- they are truly the smallest pockets I have ever seen on a coat. I wish they would add on at least another inch or two so that the bottom of the coat wasn't up around the top of his waistline. If he has another growth spurt it is going to look a bit odd because of it being such a short jacket. I also wish that they would make it in sizes even larger for pre-teens because the next sizes in LL BEAN merchandise means you are into the men's sizes and they are too large in the arms and length. Thick- warm- cozy- yep, that about sums it up.

My sons love these sweatshirts in the solid colors. They are favorites, so soft and warm. My older son wants to wear his every day to school, I have to sneak it away to wash it! He wants one in another color.
I like the vintage looking stitching. They seem true to size and stand up to many washes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lizlikesllbean Orange love
My 10 year old son LOVES orange so when he needed a bigger sweatshirt I was thrilled to find this orange one. I ordered his regular Bean size 10/12. But then we were on a trip and stopped by the Tyson's store. I had him try on the 10/12 and it was too small. The 14/16 is kind of big around the middle but the sleeves fit well. I purchased this in the store (for $29.99 ) and returned the one that I ordered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NickJo Great jacket but too baggy
My 12 year old son is 5'1", 85 lbs. We bought him L and the sleeves fit right on his wrist. So I returned to get an XL, the sleeve is about not much longer, but the body is way too baggy. I had my 150 lbs husband tried it, it actually fit his 34" waist and able to zip up. I wanted to return the jacket to get a new one for my son. My son refused and wanted to keep it due to the soft material. Except the shorter sleeves and too wide on the body, love love love the material. I wish LL Bean can redo the measurement and it will be perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NJparent Fabric stains won't come out
I love this sweatshirt and so does my daughter, but minor stains won't come out and now she refuses to wear it to school. Pretty disappointing at this price point. Too costly to invest in a new one. I wish they would change the fabric to make it more resistant to stains.
