Rated 5 out of 5 by DawnExplorer My New Favorites
Took a chance and ordered these shoes hoping that I would end up with a reasonably comfortable pair. They came today and I've been wearing them all afternoon. They are now my new favorites. The fit was as expected (Got lucky the first try.) Workmanship and leather quality seem a bit above average, and the 'support' for the foot was exceptional for a shoe of this price point. I'm a happy walker!

Rated 5 out of 5 by YachtMinder Good shoes, Modest Price
Over the years my luck with buying shoes online has been a mixed bag filled mostly with returns. So given the modest price (practically cheap these days) I expected it likely for these shoes to fall short of my expectations. I needed a solid, relatively waterproof slip-on that would fit well, hold up to the wet winters of Washington State, be comfortable enough for walks down the road without ending up with a sore foot (or two), and look nice enough to wear in public without feeling like a clod. Happy to say these shoes are earning high marks on all points. Enough in fact for me to write a review, something I rarely do. Critic that I am though, I must add the soles have treads deep enough to track dirt about until cleaned.

I wear size 13EE with a normal width heel. Out of the box these shoes were a little too tight across the forefoot and a little loose in the heel. I'm used to LLBean shoes requiring a break in. These were no exception. After 2 weeks of daily wear the forefoot of the shoe has streched out and they are now quite comfortable. The heels are still a little loose but not so much as to be a problem. Now I get to see how long they will last. Life on the farm is hard on shoes. We'll see if they last a year. Last pair of Comfort Mocs were breaking down, sole separating and stitching coming apart after 9 months. And that was not wearing them every day. Hope these last longer. A lot longer.

I like the style, not the fit. The length was fine, normally wear size 10.5 and that is what I got. The right side shoe was good fit and very comfortable. The left side shoe felt narrower and tighter on my foot. The left outside edge of the seam on the left shoe dug into my foor and was painful to wear. I gave it a few days to see if it would stretch or get better. Didn't. Exchanging for Comfort Moc and see if that is better fit.

The shoes look like they would fit like a glove the moment you put them on. Sadly, they are more like a cramped, pointy-toed version of a slip-on moc. All they needed to be utterly successful is an additional 2 cubic centimeters for the big toe. That?s it. Nothing more. Just some more toe room. Back to the warehouse with them.

I have had these shoes for almost 4 months now and am very happy with them. I had read the reviews about being too narrow, but I took a chance on them and couldn't be happier. Yes, when you first get them, they feel too narrow/tight, but within a week,, or so, they had stretched perfectly to fit my feet...no sliding heel, no wiggling around, they fit just like a "tied" shoe would. They are wearing great for me. I certainly would recommend them after having them for 4 months.

What a comfortable shoe.I have always had trouble with slip-on because of the width. With the choices available I found heaven. Extremely comfortable, cradles the foot, and holds your heel. One caveat, use a shoe horn,so as not to break down the heel.
Once on you will not want to wear any other shoe. Also they are very well made.Enjoy!!

Rated 4 out of 5 Good Shoe for the Money
Nice fitting and durable shoe for the $$. I have occasionally received compliments for the shoe, and I feel very comfortable in them. They seem to be fairly rugged and still look great after several months wear at work, walking the dog, etc. I would give them an A- on comfort due to the "rugged" design, but I would definitely buy them again.

I have worn a Merrill 13 D for over 10 years, just bought one last year still fits, ordered 13 - D at LL Bean very tight must wear thin socks, Giving it a try for a few days indoors before returning. My foot was just measured on a Brannock device and is still 13 - D. Where is the quality control of LL Bean of yore ? Cannot try at local store, no 13 - EE.
