Rated 5 out of 5 by angler67 Improved Model - Crossover Shoes
Bean should call these crossover shoes that bridge the gap between water sandals and water shoes. I still wear the original at least six year old Bean version of these shoes but they are wearing out and getting a bit funky. The new version has some great improvements for keeping out debris, keeping the tongue up, the lace placement, arch support, and comfortability. All have been greatly improved with this newer model. I use them for fishing along rocky lake shores in the Ozark Mountains where the water is full of acidic minerals and most materials do not last. My old ones lasted many years without falling apart and I would expect these to perform the same. I prefer these to boat shoes since you can let bloody fish flop all over these while landing the big one in the bottom of the boat and just hose them down at home, let them dry, and they still look pretty good. I highly recommend these barefoot fishing shoes.

I purchased these for my teen age son. They fit well and are comfortable. He wears them all the time. Can't comment on their durability yet.

I received the shoes in a few days and they fit perfect. I use the shoes for walking, hiking, biking and working in my warehouse. I like the small flap on top of the shoe laces. I can tuck my shoe lace tied knot under the small flap so the laces do not get tangled in my bike. I would recommend these shoe to my friends and family.

I just purchased a pair of Men's Rocky Coast Multisport Shoes in Blue mariner and I absolutely love them, right out of the box. They are even better looking than the pictures on the internet and are incredibly light. As soon as I put them on, they fit like a glove.
I had an old pair of hiking shoes from LL Bean which were about 7-8 years old and they held up very well, although they were much heavier than this pair.
I'm looking forward to doing lots of hiking and walking in my new LL Bean shoes!

Rated 1 out of 5 by hrrmph The insole has an arch on the *outside*
The insoles have small arches toward the outer side of the foot bed where it is supposed to be flat.
There are medium arches on the the inside where you would expect them, but the small arches on the outsides are un-forgiveable in an otherwise perfect water shoe.
I was stubborn and tried 3 pairs before I gave up.

I bought these shoes on sale and they were already reasonably priced! I Kayak and hike and really need air on my feet to avoid blistering. These shoes breath! I haven't gone in the water with them yet, I prefer a different type of footgear for the kayaking I enjoy, but I believe these shoes would dry quick. I read other reviews about getting blisters, I'll bet this occurred for longer hikes in damp shoes, I wouldn't walk far in ANY wet shoe. Great shoe for the price!

Rated 2 out of 5 by BillOv Holds too much dampness
wore these over summer. do a lot of surf fishing and they are great shoes.. however , they absolutely do not dry that fast, surprisingly they do hold far too much moisture that you will get cracked skin, irritations and what we used to call in the army trench foot. whether barefoot or with dry socks- neoprene.. also like most shoes that say they have microbe shield.. you will need to wash, wash and wash these constantly . lastly sand will get in the sole that does come out but the sand gets through the mesh top and becomes wedged in there so you cant get all the sand back out of the removable insert.
also would not hike long with these.. not as comfortable
