I just purchased a pair of Men's Rocky Coast Multisport Shoes in Blue mariner and I absolutely love them, right out of the box. They are even better looking than the pictures on the internet and are incredibly light. As soon as I put them on, they fit like a glove.
I had an old pair of hiking shoes from LL Bean which were about 7-8 years old and they held up very well, although they were much heavier than this pair.
I'm looking forward to doing lots of hiking and walking in my new LL Bean shoes!

Rated 1 out of 5 by hrrmph The insole has an arch on the *outside*
The insoles have small arches toward the outer side of the foot bed where it is supposed to be flat.
There are medium arches on the the inside where you would expect them, but the small arches on the outsides are un-forgiveable in an otherwise perfect water shoe.
I was stubborn and tried 3 pairs before I gave up.

I bought these shoes on sale and they were already reasonably priced! I Kayak and hike and really need air on my feet to avoid blistering. These shoes breath! I haven't gone in the water with them yet, I prefer a different type of footgear for the kayaking I enjoy, but I believe these shoes would dry quick. I read other reviews about getting blisters, I'll bet this occurred for longer hikes in damp shoes, I wouldn't walk far in ANY wet shoe. Great shoe for the price!

Rated 2 out of 5 by BillOv Holds too much dampness
wore these over summer. do a lot of surf fishing and they are great shoes.. however , they absolutely do not dry that fast, surprisingly they do hold far too much moisture that you will get cracked skin, irritations and what we used to call in the army trench foot. whether barefoot or with dry socks- neoprene.. also like most shoes that say they have microbe shield.. you will need to wash, wash and wash these constantly . lastly sand will get in the sole that does come out but the sand gets through the mesh top and becomes wedged in there so you cant get all the sand back out of the removable insert.
also would not hike long with these.. not as comfortable

I purchased these shoes in size Men's 7.5 on the advice of my doctor, when I complained to her that I was having a hard time finding walking shoes that were comfortable all day. She told me that men's shoes are cut on a different last which might give me more room. These are PERFECT! They fit like a dream, I never have any discomfort, even the laces are unique in that I don't have to double-tie them or re-tie mid-walk. I do the daily 2-4 miles with our dogs and feel no urge to remove the exercise shoes when I get back home. Thank you, LLBean!

I wore the new shoes yesterday after I have been having to wear sandals for 6 weeks due to a toe infection. They seemed all right to me even though it is strange to be wearing full shoes again. I have not tried them canoeing yet.

I bought these to wear while working on a golf course....wet/dry conditions daily. also, chemical, pesticides etc. They are great...comfortable, dry quickly, and light weight. Also, the tread is low which is best for the greens....I will buy many more!

I got a pair of these shoes to wear while kayak fishing. I got tired of taking kayak trips and trying to keep cheap flip flops on my feet and was searching for a solution that would hold up for a few years. After using them in mud I can say they're a lot better suited to rocks. The soles are nice and grippy. But they're better than flips. They certainly are not for walking long distances. So don't get a pair thinking you'll take long walks or runs on the beach. You'll go home with bad blisters due to the rough synthetic materials. If you use them as regular shoes, just wear socks. All things considered, they suit my purpose well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DaveEA Good, with some comfort and fit issues
After about 3 weeks of wearing these almost exclusively, there are good and not-so-good (but not bad) issues I've found. Good: one of the very few sneakers with laces that don't unravel, are cut the right length; soles that grip but don't squeak when walking on waxed surfaces; light and breathable, especially welcome on hot days on the pavement; the anti-microbial feature works - these shoes don't smell! Not-so-good: the sole could stand to be a bit softer, these are softer than Bean's Vacationland sneakers, but still a bit hard; they seem to be a bit more narrow than the "D" width I've purchased on Bean sneakers, but an "E" wasn't available, and that does affect the comfort a bit, even after break-in; I found the length to be a smidgeon less than I expected a 10.5 D when worn with white athletic socks, so I might find it necessary to try sizing up 0.5, but I'll give these another couple of weeks before deciding. Overall, 5 in quality, 3 in comfort, 4 in features - for a 4 overall rating.
