Pretty good hat for traveling and sightseeing - a bit "frumpy" but it will do the job !!

I bought it for a gift and the friend LOVED it and immediately wore it in the Florida sun. Size was great, styling, too!

I bought this hat to replace a similar one from another vendor that I lost. This one cost a little more, but it fits great, is comfortable, weather resistant and does everything advertised. Within 15 minutes after it was delivered, I was outside in the rain doing chores! No problems!
It's only limitation is the draw cord which, like all hats of this type, is always getting in the way or getting caught on something when not in use. I actually safety-pinned the cord to the inside to get it out of the way, but a clip or something would be nice.
I hope that I don't lose this one!
The brim provides good protection from rain and sun.

I need and like to keep my head covered when I am outdoors. Except for winter, this is my favorite hat if I am not wearing a Phila. Phillies cap. I lost my first bucket hat. In looking for a replacement, I bought the Gortex version which L.L. Bean also sell. It felt more like a rain hat. This cotton cap feels good and fits nicely. I don't use the chin strap unless it is very windy. I snap the brim to the body of the cap and place the strap in the brim behind the snaps. I like the way the hat looks that way. In the winter I use an L.L. Bean wool/Gortex hat with a similar brim (but without the chin strap) for warmth.

I was hoping to find a hat that was a perfect "yard" hat, that kept the sun out of my husband's very sensitive eyes, and generally protect his face, neck, and head from the sun. It definitely does all of that. The brim is nice and wide and that's what I was hoping for. He is very happy with it. But like all yard hats, it isn't the most glamorous thing, but hey, it protects my dear sweet husband and that was the whole point. The other thing was that it was overpriced, even on sale. I would also have liked it to have been "made in the USA." I would have felt better about paying what I did for it, knowing that someone in this country was being paid and being employed to make it.

Not the same quality as a Tilly or Ultimate hat.; I had hoped for a hat approximating one of these and it is not. It is lighter construction. The brim is not conical or stiff so it will blow out of shape in a good wind. OK for the price with a $10 off coupon.

This hat looks like something people really can use who have trouble with skin cancer, as it really protects the ears and back of the neck for working in the yard. It isn't the greatest looking thing, but it does the job.
