Rated 5 out of 5 by Dirma My all time favorite turtleneck
I love everything about this turtleneck. The fabric is light as a feather yet warm in the winter and perfect in between seasons. It packs beautifully for travel as it takes up hardly any space. I ordered a second one as I like the first one so much. Both are black as I tend to wear neutrals, just my style! It fits very well in the medium without being baggy or too clingy. I wear a 36DDD bra if that helps you with sizing although I am not large otherwise. I wear classic styles but like stylish clothes and this works for everything. Please do not change a thing except add white and khaki. White was sold out when I ordered.

I ordered the XS in red. First, let me say that the fit was just right. However, even though it's 100% cotton, the shirt looks and feels exactly like the material of some of my running shirts (specifically, it has the sheen and feel of polyester). The material was a huge turn-off for me, so I ended up sending this back. (On a side note, I didn't particularly like the color either - the "red" was more what I would describe as neon red-orange. However, I would have exchanged for a different color if it hadn't been for the fabric.)

This is the best turtleneck ever!! It feels and looks like silk. It is so soft and comfortable and not at all thick or bulky. I have it in black, red, and sea ice, but would like to see it in other colors, as well. I ordered my usual size, XS, and it fits perfectly. The neck is scrunchy, but stays up just the way I like. It is very flattering and goes well with lots of different outfits. Great shirt. The only thing that would make it better would be if it came in more colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ME2DC Elegant in feel and looks
This is my favorite cotton turtleneck ever. Looks elegant and feels so soft and silky. I only wish it came in more colors that I can wear. Size runs in accordance with other LL Bean clothes?i.e., I used to be a small but because the sizing has gradually increased, I now wear XS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ilovebooks Love this turtleneck!
As others have stated, the silky feel of this turtleneck can't be beat. While less expensive turtlenecks can readily be found, they don't compare to the comfort and quality of this one. The only issue I have is that it's not as form-fitting as I would have liked. However, the neck scrunches perfectly without choking, the colors are beautiful, and the fabric is elegant and office appropriate. I purchased 4 (spruce, amber, barley, and red) and have been wearing them frequently this winter. I'd love to see other staple colors such as charcoal, brown, and navy offered next fall/winter.

The shirt material is as nice as others have said. However, if you have a thin neck, don't expect the fit to be as snug and full as it appears on the model. The neck will collapse and hang forward.

My only complaint w/ these is that the cuffs have ribbing vs just a rolled (stitched) hem like on the LLB pima cotton t-necks. Otherwise these are a home run. The fabric is so silky smooth! It is thinner than the LLB pima version, which I think makes these more useful for layering. And the softer and thinner fabric makes these work perfectly in 'scrunch' mode. I also like the more sophisticated colors. Too bad there wasn't a nice classic navy.
I'm always unsure of what size to order in the signature line, but I went w/ my normal LLB size S and they fit just fine. I've been worried about tossing them in the dryer so I've been rack drying them but I'm not convinced it is necessary. I wish I had discovered these earlier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RunningCurly Wonderful drapey turtleneck
I was skeptical that this turtleneck was worth the money but after getting it, I am a convert. This is a wonderful, soft, mid-weight top that looks so much nicer than a basic turtleneck. I double-checked the tag to verify that it's all-cotton because the fabric has such a nice hand. I plan to buy it in every color! Runs true to size--I'm 5'7", 114 lbs and wear a small. It fit perfectly. I plan to wash on delicate and air dry to keep any shrinkage to a minimum.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MsKMB I wanted to love this
I bought the turtleneck in several colors and wanted to love them. First, the size was too big. I bought a large and it looked like an XL, so I went down a size. Then, the fabric was not what I expected. It was stretchy. The black had a sheen to it and all I could picture is workout / cold weather gear so that it definitely going back.
I also ordered the barley colored shirt. The color looks like caramel, again, not what I saw when I looked online. Online it looked rich but in reality, the color is bland.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MDrunner Super comfortable, yet it has style
This is an excellent turtleneck. I love LL Bean's quality and their satisfaction guarantee, but I am 28 years old and very thin so most of the clothes in LL Bean's regular line are 1) too big and boxy and 2) designed for an older, more conservative style (i.e. boxy, shapeless). I have wished that LL Bean would make more stylish clothes with their same great quality. LL Bean Signature is the answer to my wish.
This turtleneck is similar in softness & quality to the regular LL Bean turtleneck, but it is a SLIM fit which gives it shape and makes it look classy enough to wear to work. In contrast, I can only wear my regular LL Bean turtlenecks on the weekend because they are too slouchy and boxy.
I found the size to be accurate. I am size 2/small and the small fits perfectly. I am also very tall (5'9") and the sleeves fit very well.
I am so pleased with this purchase. The turtleneck is comfortable, great quality, and stylish. I hope LL Bean continues to produce clothes in the Signature line that are stylish, high quality wardrobe staples like this one.
