Rated 4 out of 5 by b3ck79 Great for walking, light hiking
These are sold as "multisport" and that fits. They are more like cross trainers than hiking shoes. I was hoping to be able to wear them hiking, at least on less rugged trails, but will limit them to easy walks on dirt or gravel paths - they are not up to rocks or tree roots. They lose 1 star for not working as advertised.
Still, I like them a lot and will wear them on long dog walks, easier hikes and just running errands. They are comfortable right out of the box and fit perfectly.

I purchased these reluctantly, as I don't have a lot of luck buying shoes without trying them on first. These fit like a glove! Very true to size, lightweight and I can tell will be great for wearing when I go kayaking next week! Thank you LL Bean!

I purchased these shoes to go to camping in Maine. These shoes were AMAZING. They were versatile and transition easily from the rocky ground to the lake. When they are wet they are very light and do not weigh down your feet. They dry quickly, as well.
I have found that they are also excellent summer walking shoes because they are breathable and light weight. They did not become smelly when they were wet and wash well if you do not dry them.
They fit true to size; I am a size 9 and they fit perfectly.
I would like to see more colors and with less white on the shoes since they are outdoor shoes and get dirty.

These shoes run true to size and are comfortable. I ordered a 1/2 size up to get the color I wanted (red/gray). They fit and will fit just fine when hiking. The laces are unique so they won't come undone. I still like the bungee laces for water shoes better, though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BettyinRI Not an ideal fit
When I first wore these, I did not like them at all. Well, I liked the syling, but there was no "ahhh" feeling on my feet when I put them on and there didn't seem ot be much support. Since I really needed some good walking around shoes, I was determined to give them a try. I do admit that I could wear these all day with a lot of walking with no problem. After awhile though, I realized that the next day after wearing them, I would wake up with painful plantar faciitis, which would go away after a day or two, until I wore these again. So, they are going back, and I'll have to find something to replace them. I normally wear a 6.5 wide, so I ordered a 7 and the fit seemed okay. I really liked the extra room in the toe box, but obviously, the fit for me was less than ideal.

I am very satisfied with the pair of multisport shoes I received from LL Bean. The size is a perfect fit and they are very light weight and comfortable. I am in a hot state and I can feel cool air while wearing them to soothe my feet. I received my order in a matter of very few days and they were packed well. I am very happy that I ordered them and am very happy I chose the best company regarding products and how they stand by their products. Thank you very much, I will definately order through you again. The free shipping was a plus as well and helped me to get something I really needed and wanted.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tiga Good fit, good grip
I needed some blue summer hikers, so bought these in my usual size based on the reviews. I love them, but like all recent summer hikers, they let in sand and dirt though the weave, and make my feet dirty. None the less I wanted get the same hikers in aqua, but sadly they are sold out. Hoping someone returns a size 9:)

I bought these for going Tubing on the Saco River and possibly for hiking through rivers and streams... After walking in them in the sandy river bottom, it was extremely uncomfortable because of all the sand and rocks that got trapped in the shoe. Water runs out well enough but rocks and debris get stuck in the shoe and it hurts to wear them. I wanted something a little sturdier than a teva type sandal and that is why I ordered them, but I am not at all happy with them after just one wearing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AngelaY Light and great traction
I tried on different ll bean shoes, but the rocky multi sports are the most comfortable. They are light, deep enough to wrap my entire foot in the shoe, and the padding around the opening is soft and doesn't hurt the area where my ankle comes down on the edge of shoe. My right foot is slightly smaller than my left foot - but the store didn't have a size 7.5, so I had to get a 8 instead - with some insole and thick socks, I was able to walk/ hilke without any discomfort, perfect amount of room for my toes, and the traction is excellent! Never lost my footing once. The tongue can feel a little intrusive in the beginnings, the underside of the seam where the tongue is sewn in is thick - but after wearing the shoes for a while, you just don't feel it anymore.
