Rated 5 out of 5 by dev2002 these boots are STUNNING. buy them now!!!!
These are the nicest, most comfortable Bean boots I have ever owned. The leather is luxuriously soft and supple with real lambswool shearling lining. Quality is just superb and I LOVE the fact that these are made not only in the USA, but right here in New England. Fit is perfect when you go by LLB's sizing recommendation for Bean Boots--I normally wear a size 8 in a shoe, but ordered a size 7 and they fit perfectly with my mid-weight smartwool boot socks. And they are also felt ridiculously comfy right out of the box. Had to wait 3 months to get them because they were backordered--which just shows you how popular they are, and now I know why. After this wretched winter, I at least have these brand new, good-looking boots to wear come fall! I wouldn't think twice about buying these again, and I highly recommend them.

the boot was very well made. for me there were sharpe edges on edge of tongue at bottom where it joins the inside . they were just to heavy for me and maybe to wide. i thought i would try this type of boot but it did not work out. thanks

I ordered these boots awhile ago, and they just came because they were on back order. They were well worth the wait!! They are so soft and warm. They do run about a size large, but I also ordered the additional shearling insole and they fit great! Wonderful boot!

If winter is getting you down, buy yourself this pair of luxurious bean boots. Seriously, these boots were a game changer for me. It's amazing how dry and cozy feet can help you to go forth and seize a cold, snowy, miserable day. I usually wear a size 7. I ordered down to a 6 and they fit perfectly.

I ordered these boots in January and just got them yesterday since they were on back order. I absolutely love them! The leather is so soft and the fit is just right. I normally wear a size 9. I ordered a size down. I probably would've been ok with a size 9 for these boots however, size 8 with the shearling just means I can wear regular socks. I cannot wait to wear these in snow and the rain! The laces could be a little shorter but it's not a big deal. I also bought the natural beeswax that the video on how to take care of your bean boots recommended. The fit is great. The lining and leather is so soft. I love them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mayola My First L.L. Bean purchase!
I ordered my boots pretty late in the game so they were on back-order for a few months. I finally received them and they fit perfectly! I wear an 8.5 because my feet are a bit wide but I can fit an 8 in most shoes. I took everyone's advice and ordered down. I actually ordered a size and a half down (ordered a 7) and got them in the wide. The shearling is darker than I thought it would be but the leather is SO nice! I haven't been able to wear them yet because its hasn't been so cold here in NYC as of late, but I'm not worried. I know they will come in handy next winter and I'm excited!

I am very please with the quality and comfort of the boot although I was expecting all of the interior of the boot to be lined with shearling. The foot portion is lined with fleece.

Rated 5 out of 5 One of my favorite purchases!
Obviously, I am in love with my bean boots. They are warm, snug, and beautiful. I can already tell we are going to get along very well for the next few years. From the tippy top to the bottom of the boots I would not change a thing about them, except maybe the price. Thanks LL Bean!

I waited three months for these boots and it was well worth the wait. These boots are incredibly warm and comfortable. They are well made and will last years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boogrrl3 My favorite broken-in-just-right boots on day 1!
I was outside shoveling today for nearly 2 hours in a combination snow/sleet Nor'Easter. It was about 10" deep in the drifts. When I came inside I went directly to the clothes dryer to throw in everything I was wearing because everything was soaked... that is everything except my socks, thanks to my new boots.
My brother and his wife gave me a pair of L.L. Bean boots for Christmas, which fortunately didn't fit. I say fortunately because when I exchanged them I decided to upgrade to the tumbled leather shearling lined boots; I am so glad I did. My least favorite part of getting new boots is the breaking-in period, but L.L. Bean eliminated that with the tumbled leather. The first time I put them on they felt like I'd owned them for years. It was like I had put new laces on my favorite broken-in-just-right boots.
Now it seems that the plow went by and buried the end of the driveway again, so I have to get everything out of the dryer and lace up my boots to go out and shovel some more... and we're supposed to get another 3" by morning. Given the winter we're having these boots could not have come at a better time.
