Rated 5 out of 5 by AshBean Awesome Boot
I am so excited to have these boots! The shearling is totally the way to go. The inside of the whole boot is so soft and comfy. I was rather unsure of which size to order. The website says to order your regular size, but reviews said they did that and the shoes were huge. I decided to stick with the LLBean recommendation and they fit perfect! I am a size 10, but wear a 10.5 in a tennis shoe. The size 10 shearling line fit great. They are a roomy/boxy fit and are a bit wide, but it gives me space to wear a thick sock. My toes will definitely be toasty, dry and cute in these boots all winter.

These bean boots were my first pair ever purchased and they are amazing! The fur on the inside is so warm and the shoes themselves are so comfortable! I wear them all around campus and to work and they are great. However, due to the fur my feet would be very hot if it wasn't cold. I am normally a size 9 but I have a size 8 and wear ankle socks, so ask what size you would need depending on your sock preference. Overall, I love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MimiJP BEST OUT OF THE BOOTS * TRIED 3 DIFFERENT PAIRS
I ordered these 8" Shearlings boots, along with the 8" Thinsulate, and the 8" Bison boot and after trying all three, the shearling boots by far are the best.
1. Shearling lined makes it softer, warmer, more comfortable. *Note, the soles aren't shearling lined, but you won't really notice. I ordered the shearling soles and added and now they are perfect.
2. The tongue opens!!! These was the deal breaker for me. Most LL Bean boots are made so that the tongue is stitched to the body of the boot, but these are not completely stitched to the the body making it EASIER to put on.
3. They look great.
I think these are worth the extra money. The leather is softer than the regular leather used in the other boots. The look and feel great.
These boots took 4 months for me to receive. I ordered them in February and received them in July. Of course I didn't need them in the summer, but I'm so happy I pulled the trigger to have them here by winter. If you are debating on whether or not to buy them, I would advise you to buy them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by happycustomergz Best boots ever and amazing customer service!
I ordered these boots just in time to them to arrive before going overseas and the week I was leaving I found out that there had been a delay and it was not going to arrive before my departure. I called customer service and they did an amazing job cancelling my previous order and shipping a second pair using the fastest option available at no charge so I can get them on time. THANKS!!!
The boots are the most comfortable I have ever worn, I am in love with them. The lining is sooooo soft. They look beautiful, yet are incredibly sturdy and well made. I cannot be happier with this purchase and with LL Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kris07 Perfect boot but oversized so order down!
This boot is perfect in my opinion. The style and warmth is on point. And most importantly they are super comfortable. The tumbled leather is so soft and much nicer then the basic bean boot which had a more plastic feel to the leather. I love that the sherling stops at the ankle and the footbed is lined with the thinsulate. If anyone owns uggs you know the sherling can get quite stinky as your foot sweats. Although they do offer a sherling insert if you wanted to go there.
Now onto the sizing. They run big. I normally wear a 9 in sneakers and an 8.5 in boots. Size guide suggested a 9 and they were huge. I returned for an 8 and I still have room in the front. I reccomend ordering a size down even if your wearing heavy socks.
I walked around all day in them right out of the box and they were super comfortable and required no break in time. They supported my arches and also cushioned my heel. I also liked I could feel the ground with my toes. Excellent customer service by ll bean though my returns as always.
Buy these boots!!!

by BeanObsessed Perfect Purchase
This is the third pair of bean boots I've purchased in the last three years. I have two pair of uninsulated which I wear all fall, winter, and spring! I've gotten all my boots in a size 9 and usually wear a 8 1/2 in other shoes, but I get the 9 because I love thick socks. Since I wear these boots so often I decided to get a shearling lined pair for the winter time. These boots are everything I hoped for. The only thing is, unlike the uninsulated bean boots the tongue is not attached all the way to the top of the boot, meaning they are not "100% waterproof" (not that LLBean said they were, but one can dream). The shearling is super warm and does not go all the way to the foot bed which I actually prefer. The shearling stops by the ankle bone, which is nice because then you don't need to worry about the shearling rubbing off in the heal. There is thinsulate in the rest of the foot area. You can always purchase the shearling insoles if you need to! I already have them and will most definitely be adding them during the colder months! Thanks LLBean for another perfect pair of boots.

These are great shoes for the winter but as the description says they do run large. I normally wear a 6.5 and purchased a size 7 since they recommend going up a size if you plan to wear thick socks with them. The 7 was way too big even with thick socks. I returned them for the size 6, which fit much better but are still a little roomie. All in all they keep my feet warm and dry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LNBN Shearling Lining On Uppers Only
This is my second pair of shearling lined bean boots. My first pair is the Shearling Lined Signature Tumbled-Leather L.L.Bean Boots, 16" and the lining is throughout the entire boot. These 8" boots only have the shearling lining on the shaft of the boot, not in the foot bed. For the price and description of these boots, I was really disappointed to not find the lining throughout. The transition from the shearling lining to the cloth lined footbed is at a significant seam right around mid heel. Not impressed that I need to worry about blisters in what should be a ridiculously comfortable boot, or that my foot would really benefit from the warmth in an assumed fully lined boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Apeel Great boot but be careful because they run large
Great boot for the New England winters. I bought a pair last year from a LL Bean store which someone had returned. I am a true size 7 shoe, medium width. I bought a size 7, wide because that's all the store had and I really wanted a pair for the winter. The 7, wide were huge when I tried them on in the store, but I thought I could wear a thick sock with them and be fine. Needless to say I had to wear a thin sock and a thick LL Bean Ragg Camp sock and they were still too big. I finally was able to order a size 6 online which are still roomy but I can now wear with one pair of thick socks and I should be fine. Long story short, these boots run very big so I would recommend sizing down.
