Cannot rave enough about the comfort and fit of this shirt. I will be buying more!

This top fits well, but WILL shrink up on your waist (the arms and chest area do not shrink). I recommend buying your typical size, but when you wash it let it hang dry or cycle for a short period of time on low heat.
Ordered a few different colors for some variety. The Bering blue is not as light as it appears on the LL Bean website (I happen to like this). It's definitely a true blue Henley.

I bought the shirts in tall for my husband...he loves the shirts but they have shrunk so much we have to give them away to charity. I would not recommend buying the shirt unless LL. Bean can fix the problem.

Bought 2 of these, one in Navy/Multi and Heather/Multi. After just one wash, the sleeves shrank 3 inches and the size medium became a small. The overall quality of the shirt's made, materials and design are perfect but if it shrinks considerably like this, the shirts are useless. I've bought several waffle shirts before and they never shrank. I do not know what happened to this particular shirt's fabric. IT SHOULD NOT SHRINK considerably. I returned this 2 shirts that I bought. I was pondering on buying the same ones again in XL thinking they would shrink to my medium size but I would not want to waste any more money in shipping it back when this shrinking will happen again. C'mon LL Bean! Bring back the old quality of mini-waffle shirts! Make sure it will not shrink. Do a test wash on all the shirts before you sell it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hermitsunite Nice, but definitely order one size up!
I LOVE this shirt and would give it 5 stars if not for the shrinkage issue. I took the advice of everyone who said to order one size larger than usual (thank you!). I'm a woman who is more comfy in men's sweaters than women's. I like my sweaters extra roomy so I usually order size Medium. Heeding the advice of other reviewers, I ordered a size Large. It was massive. Way too big for me. But after one machine washing/drying, it's no longer large. Maybe more like a Small/Medium. Perfect for me now. I do worry that if it shrinks more, it will be too tight, so I'll probably skip the dryer next time. I'm 5 ft 7 inches and weigh approximately 138 pounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by champagnetaste Made for a man, but women like it too.
I'm a 3x woman and have a hard time buying clothes here because Bean just doesn't have a very large selection of female 3x. So I bought this XL regular mens and am delighted with it. Its the perfect alternative - the length is just right. Not too long, but can be tucked in and will stay - you don't have to keep retucking the back every time you bend over. The sleeves are perfect - not made for a chimp. I don't even have to roll them up at the cuff. This is warm, comfy, and very suitable for womens wear. And not itchy!

Each time I washed this shirt it got a little smaller. I returned it for a credit.
I bought this shirt before and was very pleased with it. That's why I ordered another.

Rated 3 out of 5 by dtrachtman red shown is way off
I have a high end monitor with accurate color, but the red is very different than what I received. The red henley is a much brighter red in reality. Also note that the buttons are larger than on most henley shirts.

I can't remember the last time I've had a shirt that shrank so bad. Now the only thing it is good for is a Goodwill donation.

I'm told this review is too short, but what more can I say?
It shrunk and became bob-tailed in the back and too short in the sleeves. Big disappointment. Quality just is not there with many of L. L. Bean garments like it once was.
Is that long enough? May be sorry you asked.
