Rated 2 out of 5 by llbeanregular55 looks better than it functions
Stiff fabric, even after washing. Several design flaws (cost cutting?) including no loops for hanging on a hook in either the tops or pants bottom, very short fly, and no closure/button for the fly. Pants are like underwear with no button or anyway to open or close the top of the pants - strictly pull on/off with full circle elastic waistband.
Also, even in XL, tops and bottoms are quite short - no tall size available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by yvyNYC Best men?s pajamas out there!
My husband would live in pajamas if he could, so pajamas are very important to him. We used to buy his pajamas from a very well-known retailer for many years, which were much more expensive than LL Bean?s. Being that I am an avid LL Bean customer I decided to give these pajamas a try.
Well my husband absolutely loves them and he is now on his third pair!!! The quality of these pajamas are fantastic and the more you wash them the softer they get. The fabric is not flimsy as some other makers of pajamas can be, and the draw string waist is a nice touch too!!
LL Bean, please never discontinue these pajamas!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by travellllller A bit stiff- shrank A LOT
Finally a pair of Pj's to fit an XXL Tall man! When they arrived he put them on and they were HUGE- they hung on him and the pants looked like 2 people could get into them. We almost packed them up and sent them back- but since they had been monogrammed we went ahead and washed them thinking that they might shrink since they were cotton. Thank goodness we did- because they shrank A LOT. They shrank soo much that the pants were almost too small in the waist and inseam. After washing they fit more snugly and more true to size - and looked great. The material is still a bit stiff after several washings- which I was disappointed about- but he doesn't seem to care. The material is a very good quality- and the stitching looks very nice. It is definitely a French Blue color because it almost looks like a shade of purple. My husband likes them. They look very expensive- and look great with a monogram on them. Even if I pull them straight from the dryer they come out wrinkled- which is a bit annoying- but I keep hoping that if the fabric softens up like others have stated that the wrinkling will stop too.

Rated 5 out of 5 Great pajamas
These are the pajamas that I have been looking for !
For some odd reason, it has been difficult to find good comfortable men's pajamas recently. These are perfect. It took a few washings to soften them up, but after that, they have been wonderful. In fact, I'm ordering another pair right now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flexibility Not just for men
I'm plus size women on top but misses on bottom. The men's large fit in the length with one roll over at the waist and with one roll up of the sleeve and it fits better than any of the women's sizes. I love them so much I'm ordering a second pair. The bonus is I have a gift card from all the christmas purchases.

I purchased these pajamas for my husband and was very pleased with the quality, craftsmanship, and style. Yes, they are roomy but very comfortable. The fabric is great for the in-between seasons. The pants have a full elastic waist plus a tie. I am a seamstress and I thought the attention to detail in these p/j's was well worth the cost. I am ordering a pair for myself!

These are comfortable and cozy pyjamas for spring, cool summer and fall nights. Nicely tailored. Tall size gives lots of leg and arm length. Well worth the money.

Great detail, soft, substantial fabric and a roomy fit make these PJ's outstanding. I would not normally spend $50+ on pajamas, but I think these are worth it.

First of all the mystery of what "pima/ cotton oxford" means needs to be addressed. On the outside you have an oxford type cotton fabric. (If you have your pajamas ironed I think you could get away with wearing the top as some kind of avant garde business attire.) On the inside, is a soft pima brushed cotton which makes for very comfy wearing. As one of the other reviews notes, this does not make for an especially light weight garment. Not as heavy/warm as flannel, but noticeably heavier than traditional cotton pajamas.
I'm a standard sized person, i.e., off the rack stuff works for me most of the time and I didn't have any of the size issues mentioned in other reviews.
These pajamas are very well made with high quality material and so I expect that they will last me for years.
In addition to an elastic waist there is a draw string ... which serves no function except in a style sense. The monogram was literally smaller than a small postage stamp which makes adding your initials pointless.

Durable, yes - but this is no "soft and comfortable" fabric. Still, being the curious sort, I've put this through multiple washes, using fabric softener, but the thing is still... shall we say, "rugged"? I expect it'll last 10 years, but it will never be a favorite. On the other hand, I also ordered LL Bean's winter cotton PJ's (206185). Now _those_ are soft and comfortable - but for winter only.
