Rated 5 out of 5 by jollygreen17 The jacket I've been looking for!
I had been looking for a rugged, smart looking sport jacket that I could wear with jeans and other casual clothing and this is it!! I am 6'9" tall and the 52 Tall fits great, even the sleeves are long enough. The fabric is a rugged twill and the fit is like a sportcoat. The jacket has lots of pockets, some zippered and slots for pens. All in all, a great garment!

I purchased this Blazer in September. Tall - Sandstone. Size is true. It is very comfortable. I wear it with Jeans or Pants to look a bit more dressed that just pure "casual". Very comfortable. The really big problem is the LLBean refuses to offer it in a selection of colors. All they have is Sandstone and Olive. Would be really nice to have some other color choices.

Well made and fit was perfect - 48" Tall. A bit heavier material than I expected and a little stiff, but with wear it is getting softer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Moverlake Good but casual jacket
The Houndstooth woolen Town & Country blazer is quite good looking, sturdy, hangs well, and is a great fall and winter color scheme. I like it very much. My regular size 48 fit surprisingly well in the body, only needing, as usual, a bit of shortening of the sleeves. (I like my shirt cuff to show 1/2 inch.)
But, as for me, I do not think it dresses up for a better dinner out or any other semi-dressy event even in casual Seattle. It's fine with cotton chinos. It's grand with dark blue jeans. I'll wear it to casual ethnic or other restaurants, shopping, or a walk in the park on a cool autumn day, but that's it.
Not dressy, that's it. I like and wear the jacket, but not dressy.

This has become a staple with jeans or khakis and a nice shirt. Lots of great pockets, looks really sharp for many occasions!

I was a little unsure about ordering because of some of the reviews, but I ordered the tan one for my husband anyway. This is a really nice jacket! He is 6'2, around 200 lbs, and we ordered both the 42 and the 44 because customers said there was a size discrepancy. The 42, his normal size, fit perfectly - we returned the 44. Here in NJ it's the perfect spring jacket and when he wore it to a recent family party, he received numerous compliments. Looked great with a blue shirt and light tan dress chinos, but would look terrific with jeans. LOTS of inner pockets for phones, glasses, etc., and very well made overall. For this price, it was a bargain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Woodrat Poor Sizing
Size chart is not accurate. Nice jacket but I had to return it for a size larger. When I went on-line, size I needed was out of stock. LLBean took 8 days to ship this item - largely due to problems at UPS. I wonder if the size would have been in stock if it was delivered on time as promised? LL Bean has good service but products are not what they were in the past - lower quality, not true size. Not the same LL Bean as 10 years ago - sad.

I followed the size directions by LL Bean, and ordered a size larger
The coat is still too tight through the shoulders

Rated 4 out of 5 by twilly almost perfect for me
In my quest for the best casual jacket, this is almost perfect, for the reasons stated in other reviews: size, fit, pockets, material. My only quibble is that the solid Navy color is so dark and monotone it lends a too-formal air to what is a rugged canvas-like blazer. Seems to contradict the material. Since it is dry-clean only, this color will not likely fade. In my opinion, if LLBean made this exact jacket in a sunwashed or slightly weathered look, it would be fantastic. Please!
