Really happy with this jacket, the medium is a perfect fit for me (5'8"/170), the Heather/Peat Moss color is neutral and pretty much goes with anything. Perfect for around town everyday wear, but the lack of ventilation and real technical waterproofing would have me question it's suitability for very athletic use. Also, the thicker fabric and pockets definitely affects it's packability, but that's not what I bought it for.

Great light weight but warm jacket. Haven't tested it below 15 degrees with a strong northeastern wind, but so far so good. Purchased a large, but I think the sleeves are a little long. Very comfortable all around, I like this jacket, outer material seems quite durable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BeansRegular Great and affordable Down Jacket
I purchased this for my adult son (6'3", 170lb) for Christmas and here is his feedback:
"The large tall fits well in the shoulders, but has a bit too much room in the waist area, but this is easily brought in by the cinches on each side of the waist without creating a balloon look. Large tall is my regular size on LLBean, so I would say that it runs true to size. I have it in the Peat Moss, which is quite different from the online picture--it is a more olive green color, more attractive than the dull brown shown online.
The construction is excellent with a tough but flexible fabric outside and a soft quilted lining. The abrasion resistant fabric on the back yoke, front shoulders, and down the left front blends in well colorwise and has both a vertical (access to music) and horizontal (under magnetic closed flap) pockets, which are both deep and secure. The front handwarmer pockets also zip, are real roomy and provide good security.
The jacket has been warm in zero degress and up with a light fleece layer underneath and mild activity (walking), and does repel light rain and snow. The collar is soft lined and not too tight or too loose on the neck, with a zipper garage for protection. I have not yet used this jacket for downhill skiing, but I do plan to do so soon. It definitely is a great everyday and going out jacket.
I would love to see a slightly more tapered fit (waist)--would it be possible to make some of your outdoor styles in a trimmer, more athletic fit for those of us who are slim? Thanks."

Rated 5 out of 5 by NCAggie Great Jacket & Value
I recived this jacket as a Christmas present from my wife & kids and I love it! The fit is good and it keeps me warm, even when temps dipped into the teens. I've worn it daily and have recieved lots of complements on it's looks. In drizzley weather the water just beads up on it. The zippers all work well and I esp like the fact that the bottom can be tighened up with the pull ties on both sides at the bottom of the jacket. I'm in sales and in & out of my truck a lot and the jacket seems to breath as I've yet to get too hot with it on. The fabric seems durable enough for everyday use. The best part of this jacket was the price & value of it, esp for a down jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TheBubbins Perfect for Vermont Winters
One of the best things about this jacket is the versatility. As with most down jackets, this coat works great for a wide range of temperatures which is ideal for the ever-changing New England weather. I bought this for my husband who wore it yesterday snow shoeing. It was perfect with just a light fleece underneath in 30 degree weather. Last week, when it was a high of -15F one day, the jacket was great with a base layer and a wind proof fleece jacket. Not to mention my favorite part about the jacket?it looks really great on! I love the design and color of the red/burgundy. This jacket is style paired perfectly with function. My only suggestion would be to offer it with a hood in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jbrooks46 great coat with problems
The reason for the "no" is that there is a problem with the jacket, right arm.Thte traverse down is coming out in small pieces, which looks like snow.
