Great shoes for rain and a little snow. They run very large I guess to accomodate an extra pair of thick socks. I wll try to use thick insoles to make these work for me.

I kept looking at these shoes and wondering if they would be comfortable.I've owned a pair in the past by a different company and they were great. Unfortunately, that company no longer makes them. I ordered my usual size and they fit fine. The heel does slip a little,but with Dr.Scholl's gel heel insert, they are comfortable. I wore them for two days straight to make sure they were comfortable and I was going to keep them. Since then, I've already used them in rain, mud and light snow. They're keepers!

I loved these shoes, but they were just too wide for me and did not come in a more narrow size. For an average to wide foot they would be extremely comfortable. The length was not an issue.

I bought this pair for my daughter as she has moved back to the Northeast. I have my pair since 1998 and I am still living in them through snow, slush, rain and ice. We have to schlep up a dirt road to get to the car in bad weather and I won't consider anything else but these. Additionally, people at work have been buying Storm Chaster shoes on our recommendation and have been thrilled with them. The only eh we all have, is that for some reason we all have a stain develop on the front center of the lighter tops of all the shoes.

Liked them a lot at first.Recently attended a one week horse show.
They should have been broken in after 2 months. Got major painful blisters. Couldnt even wear with thick socks and band aides. Now wearing old very cracked storm chasers about 8 years old. Glued the cracks in vain. They look awful but still wear like slippers!
Sending new ones back. Can't figure out after all us reviewers, why LL wont go back to the old popular Storm Chaser style!

These boots are warm, well-fitted, perfect for mud, rain and snow, easy to take off and put on, and very durable. This is my second pair. The first lasted several years through many miles of walks.
I ordered a half size larger as recommended, and needed to return them and get my regular size. The resturn process was very easy, and shipping was fast, maybe a day or two.

After reading the other reviews, I was skeptical - and after trying the Bean gum shoes (horrible fit), I had low expectations. But, these are great! I do have a narrower foot, I am a solid sz 7, and the 7's fit great. I do not have an issue with the heel slipping - I did have an issue with the seam - it was in a funny spot and was uncomfortable - I ordered another pair and now have 2 perfect shoes. My husband is on his second pair of these. They also look "cool" in an LL Bean way!

I liked the style and quality, but the heel fit was too wide, so I found myself walking out of the shoe as soon as I tried it on. Since I wanted them for snow and mud, they'd have been useless to me if they wouldn't stay on, so I returned them.

Love the storm chasers. I spent a year or more "borrowing" my husband's as a quick slip-on if it was wet or muddy outside and finally decided it was time to get my own. I can slip these on quickly to take the dog outside and not worry about getting them muddy or wet. They clean right off and they are totally warm and comfortable. They will be great for camping too. The fit is a little large, but I don't really mind because I wanted something I could slip on. If you want a more snug fit, I recommend a half size smaller.
