Rated 5 out of 5áby Crewgal124 Love this shirt
I was looking for a flannel shirt and I knew Bean had really nice ones (I have the fleece lined flannel) and I was waiting for a shirt to go on sale so I bought the Kingfield flannel in Sea Thistle. I got it within 2 days--the same day I received the shipping conformation email and that my package had arrived! The shirt is really soft but very thin. The color is a brighter purple than in the picture and when I got it it had fabric threads all over the shirt but overall it's wonderful. It is a bit bigger but I like to wear them open with a t-shirt underneath. Good buy.

I ordered this is in Maritime Blue and love the color. The cut is a bit boxy and large and I might have preferred something a bit more streamlined. Mediums are generally a little snug, but large seems too big. I'm hoping that it will shrink a bit in the dryer. Nevertheless, this is a quality shirt at a good price. Warm and comfy!

I've been looking for a flannel shirt that goes to low hip length for the winter. After washing, this shirt still looks classy and fits true to size. I have short arms and roll back the sleeves, meaning they should fit well for a person with normal arms. I love the length -- it adequately covers the tush. The flannel is medium weight and I wear a long-sleeve crew neck under the shirt. I normally wear a 14 and the large fits well with a cotton knit underneath.
I bought the maritime blue, and it isn't quite as aqua-colored as it looks on the computer screen. It's more of a true blue. I still love the color.

Rated 2 out of 5áby Christoo Too lightweight
The color of this shirt was as shown and flattering , but the weight of the shirt did not match my expectations. I like a heavier flannel so I am returning it. I was pleased that the style had no tapering or darts, since I like flannel shirts to be loose for layering. Maybe a fall flannel shirt will be heavier....Hope so!

This is a soft, comfortable flannel shirt.....true to size....nice choice of colors & patterns. It has to be worn outside of your pants since the shirt tails are 2 1/2" longer than the shirt tails on a normal shirt... A lot of extra fabric to shove into your pants.Giving it 5 stars though because it is really a nice shirt, but in my opinion it is only for those of us that prefer to wear their shirt tails out! Another great garment from llbean!

Rated 2 out of 5áby 2BigDogs Bad collar
I find the flannel is lovely and soft. But the collar is too stiff or big or something, so the shirt makes me look dumpy, like I'm wearing somebody else's clothes. I am quite small, so maybe it's just bad proportions. It does fit, strictly. The shirt itself is boxy, as someone else mentioned. All in all, it's not a good shirt for me. But as I said, lovely fabric, and a pretty color too (Maritime blue).

I am very pleased with how many of my "blue" shirts I can wear with the smokey blue. The colors in the plaid make it more versatile than expected. My usual size is a petite small but I like the roominess of this small for layering. The shirt was a little more wrinkled after washing than my much older LLBean flannels which is why only the 4 stars. This is a very comfortable shirt and I can still wear it without ironing.

Rated 5 out of 5áby 30yearsofBean Runs very large!
This is a beautiful shirt, great soft fabric, washes well, but it runs very large. I usually wear a small and I kind of swim in these shirts (I bought both smoky and maritime blue versions). I wear them like a jacket with a t-shirt under them, but to wear as a regular shirt I highly recommend sizing one size down. Otherwise, a VERY nice shirt.

Rated 4 out of 5áby BeansRegular Still not as thick as men's flannel
This is a lovely flannel shirt. I have the light blue plaid called Smoky Blue. What you cannot see, even with the picture enlarged, is that the plaid also contains purple and dark green stripes that allow for a greater versatility in the colors worn over or under this shirt. The shirt runs true to size and the XS (my usual size in tops) has enough room for a T-neck under without sizing up. The fit is straight, but I prefer that to darts or princess seams in flannel shirts, which I am wearing for warmth. A belt worn over the shirt gives it plenty of shape if that is what I want.
The flannel is brushed on both sides and is very soft, but not very warm. The flannel has a thinner consistency than the fabric of the men's Kingfield flannel shirts. This does not make sense to me, as I, and many of the women that I know, are always colder than their male family members! My women's LLBean flannel from over 10 years ago is a bit thicker and richer. I don't want to complain too much because this is still a great shirt and fits very well with true proportions (adequate in shoulders, long enough in arms, chest without gapping, plaids matched at the side seams and placket) and I would buy another one if there was another color that I liked. I still just wish it would be as thick as the men's.....
One other complaint. I am online at LLBean all the time, and by the time I found this shirt, the Cream color was all sold out in XS and S. I find that this happens often for unusual (for LLBean) or popular colors--they sell out quickly and they are never restocked. If I am checking online every day for a month to see if someone returned and XS in cream, I can only imagine that many other women are checking also. LLBean, you would sell many more stock items if you paid attention to which items were in high demand and order more of a supply. Unfortunately for me, the Cream color is the only other that I like--it has coral and teal in it, which would be new additions to my wardrobe. I already have lots of blue, and the 3 other colors are all shades of blue.
