I bought these for all the guys in my family for christmas. They are very handsom and just the right size for your pocket and still have blade length and strength to be practical.

My father-in-law says that phrase all the time when he pulls out his pocket knife to cut something. I bought this knife for myself and now I know why. The knife is sharp and ready to use right out of the box. It also fits perfectly in my pocket. It's got that classic wood finish that exudes manliness and evokes memories of your grandfather. Don't forget that the price is pretty easy on your wallet, too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by GuyFromMA Great but small
This is a great knife for what it is. However, I found it to be a little on the small side to be practical. Wish LL Bean had a larger version.
Mostly my fault for not realizing the size before ordering and making the wrong assumption. LL Beans returns process and customer service continues to be topnotch.

Looks good and seems well made. Have not had it long but it is sharp and has held an edge so far.

yes its not made in the USA says it's imported in the description, yes it has thick blades at steep angles but it is also well made and extremely sharp, i've had no problem getting it back to or sharper than it was when new. overall it is a great pocket knife for small work especially for gutting trout and other smaller fish. only gripe is the tension on the blades when opening and closing is really strong might loosen up after more use though.

This pocketknife reminds of the knives my father and uncles used to carry into the wilds of Maine. The workmanship, feel in the hand, and overall esthetics are exceptional.

The knife may be solidly built but the blades are thick and the edge is ground on at a sharp angle. that seems to invite quick dulling when used. It may be a Buck knife, but it doesn't approach the reputation and quality of construction of other Buck products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Susieteacher great knife
Knife was great--price was right and it came already sharpened which was a plus. Husband was pleased and since it was so affordable, I won't be sad when he loses this one, too!
