Rated 5 out of 5 by SchillerStreetShopper THE BEST and WELL PRICED
I don't understand any of the feedback on pilling, fraying, etc., and have been buying LL Bean's flannel bed sheets and cases for years. Particularly for softness, they far outpace the counterpart being sold by flossier labels (i.e., Rider on a Horse and others.)
I was told years ago that the best flannel comes from Portugal -- where linens are generally superior -- and Bean has its flannel bedding made there. A related video demonstrates the fact. All of my friends are given the pitch as to how much pure luxury is provided by these sheets and cases in the winter. I am now addicted. Also, since I do the laundry, any breakdown in the fabric or stiching would be apparent to me, and I haven't experienced either. Heck, my DOG even has LL Bean flannel cases on his bed pillow in the winter! To me, these are the very best available and certainly for the price point. I couldn't get through the winter without a full set of cases and sheets -- truly -- and mixing and matching colors provides flexibility and pleasure as well. 5 STARS.

Ultra soft does not describe this pillow case. they are okay but not really soft. After washing the hemmed ends were very wrinkled. Disappointed.

I bought these pillowcases in navy, along with the matching fitted sheet and comforter cover. I gave them to my daughter to use at college. She loves them and has had no pilling. Great product!

These are amazingly soft pillowcases that make me look forward to going to bed each night. They fit perfect with the LL Bean king size pillows I purchased and they wash very well. Excellent quality and value. I purchased one set and loved them so much I purchased another.

We bought a set of these flannel sheets & pillowcases a few years ago in the Bay Leaf color, and they're wonderful, except one of the pillowcases has developed a rip...with no known cause, the fabric just thinned & ripped. I'll get more and hope it doesn't happen again (and return this ripped one for refund or replacement).

I always get really cold when I am sleeping, and have even been known to use my down comforter in the summer with the A/C on. I have been searching for the perfect flannel pillowcases for years, and after trying those of several other bedding-only companies, I have found the best for me. The LLBean flannel pillowcases are soft and warm and do not wrinkle or crease up under my face (side sleeper), so my face doesn't do the same. I fall asleep rapidly when I use my LLBean flannel. So far they have not pilled or shrunk with repeated wash and use, and they have the perfect softness and texture for me.

i got these 15 years age, and i'm finally back for another set. i use them every night, my husband refuses to use a flannel pillowcase, so i've worn right through both of them in that time. soft and durable doesn't even begin to cover it!

I got two sets of king pillowcases because we have two sets of king pillows on the bed and I'm tired of overlapping standard pillowcases. The rhubarb is a pinky coral and the soft teal is a light aqua. Neither is electric. I know they will leave fuzz in the dryer. That's the nature of flannel. They will be soft and comfortable, just as all of LLB's flannel sheets and garments are.

Very soft and nice till the 3rd washing.
Then they start to pill and thin.
I have other flannel sheets that have held up better.

We have been using LL Bean flannel bedding since the early 1990s. Although our bedding is still mostly the hunter/spruce green with 2 sets of the aubergine as our recent additions, both of which colors are no longer being sold, the items are still going strong! One sheet had a mishap, so my wife had a seamstress make pillowcases for us-she were not about to waste a perfectly excellent condition LL Bean flannel sheet that after 20 years is still as soft and durable as the day we purchased it! We use the flannel year round too! This purchase is ivory pillowcases, because you can never have enough pillowcases-- we each sleep with 4 pillows and we change them often during cold/flu season. HIGHLY recomment this item!!!
