Rated 2 out of 5 by Yoni052 Ultrasoft Flannel Sheet, Fitted
The picture is misleading. It appears as if there are two sheets and two pillow covers. I was amazed and shocked when I opened the package and was only one sheet and no pillow covers.. I live overseas and received the free shipping during family visit to USA. I intended to use the sheets for the cold Winter. As I am now overseas I am not eligible for free shipping and need to decide if I want to have a matching set and pay for international shipping..
I am disappointed at LL Bean for this inaccurate picture and description. I would have more than gladly purchased two pairs of sheets had the picture been accurate
Please LL Bean change the picture to make it clearer that there is only one sheet.

These sheets and pillowcases are not ultra soft they are run of the mill flannel linens. I was hoping for a heavier weight flannel but this is not it. Can't trust labels anymore. Seems even LLBean is taking short cuts these days and playing the word game. Where is the quality of years past?

Rated 5 out of 5 by maryinwisc Like the fact that the sheets aren't in sets
I have to respectfully disagree with the people who wish these excellent sheets came in sets - my preference has always been to use a very thin blanket instead of a top sheet, and I stopped buying sheets from Land's End when they started selling most of their flannel only in sets. In addition, I disliked the fact that the twin sets only came with one pillow case. I enjoy being able to buy a fitted sheet and a set of pillowcases, and in addition to be able to mix and match colors if I choose. I find that the fitted sheets from LL Bean are almost too large and stretch out a little with use, but better that than too small. They're very soft and I have no problem with the pilling - nothing unusual there. I have some "cheap" flannel from a department store, in a snowflake pattern, that looks good and barely pills - because it's so stiff and so thin! In other words, it's no contest as to which flannel I prefer!

I ordered the ultrasoft flannel sheets. They are super warm but they pill awfully bad. They make a mess of my bedroom and I have to keep washing the bedskirt. Will not order them again!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ashlandian Best Flannel Sheets
These are the best flannel sheets I've ever owned (I've used flannel sheets every winter for at least 25 years. So I've owned a number of sets#. Fair warning, they are warm!!
Some have complained about minor pilling. There's a trick to avoid it: the first 5 or so times that you use the sheets, after use and before washing, throw them in the dryer for 20 minutes on air fluff #no heat). All the lint will go into the lint trap and avoid the fate of becoming pills.

Ultra soft does not describe this sheet. It is okay but not especially soft. It has a good fit and will probably show durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MountainGram Soft Substantial Flannel
I bought the flannel sheets, along with the flannel comforter cover in driftwood/natural. They go great with the light blue in my bedroom. I did wash my sheets, pillowcases and comforter cover twice before using. I haven't had any issues with shedding or pilling. The flannel is really soft and thicker than most flannel sheets on the market. Between the flannel sheets, flannel cover and down comforter, I'm never cold!

I opened the package and the sheets were not as depicted on the website. The picture shows a fitted sheet, top sheet and pillow case. My purchase only included the fitted sheet. This is what happens when a single parent male purchases bed sheets online.
My daughter loves the feel of the fitted sheet. I'm sure I will be able to find a reasonably matching top sheet and pillow case at a white sale in a brick and mortar store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AKLori These are great sheets!
We are on our second set of these sheets and love them. I have read over some reviews and felt I needed to provide input. These are great, soft, comfy sheets. We have a bed that has an extra plush pillow top so sheets of quality that fit are sometimes hard to find.
Yes, there is a tremendous amount of lint from these sheets at first. I recommend washing and drying them twice before ever putting them on your bed. Because of allergies, I wash our sheets once a week in warm water cycle. With our first set, it took a couple months until the lint became more normal. Even after washing twice before the first use, there was considerable lint but it does diminish. You should always clean your lint trap after each drying cycle anyway - just use a dryer sheet to clean - it's perrfect for the task, so it's not a big deal. We had a few fuzzies as one other buyer noted about but it was not a big problem and that too went away after a few washings. These are wonderful sheets and we highly recommend them.
