I recently bought this to replace our old duvet cover. It really is a great product and is very soft. It washed and dried very well. One thing I like is that because it is flannel it keeps the comforter on the bed and doesn't slide off. I would highly recommend this product.

Bought this comforter cover along with PrimaLoft comforter. Bought cover because of allergies and didn't want to go wash comforter in commercial washing machine (at laundromat) every week. Figured I could remove and wash cover every week in washer at home. Well, it was quite a struggle to get the comforter into the cover. There are 4 ties inside cover that can be tied to the 4 loops on the corners of the comforter. Problem: Both comforter and cover need more than 4 ties in order to keep comforter from major shifting within the cover. I struggled with these items for 45 minutes before I concluded that this system was not going to work for me. Returning both comforter and cover. Sigh.

I bought the pale green flannel comforter cover for two reasons: great reveiws and a great price. It is cheaper to buy the completed comforter cover than buy the flannel at a fabric store. I have made all my covers in the past, and I thought I would treat myself and buy ready-made and save time and $30-$40. I was disappointed. The flannel is considerably thinner with wider spacing between the threads than what I can buy. I am sure the LL Bean comforter is better quality than other ready-made comforters. I am a confident shopper of LL Bean products. However, if you can sew, have the time and the extra money, buy good flannel material and make one.

Bought this in full size in the pale sage green. The flannel is very soft and a nice thickness. Love the pale green color. Very happy with my choice and I have washed it and it came out fine. I have one suggestion. I have a flannel duvet cover that I purchased in the past NOT from Bean. On the sides, on the opposite end from the buttons is a slit about 6 inches long with one button. Makes it very easy to stick your hand in the slit and pull your comforter into the cover. Maybe a suggestion for making future covers.

I bought this comforter cover in navy, along with the matching fitted sheet and pillowcases, for my daughter to use at college. The fabric came out of the package looking smooth and lovely and the navy color is perfect. I gave them to my daughter with the advice to return them to me if she had any difficulty with pilling. She washed them before putting them on her bed and loves them. No pilling what so ever! I'm so glad that I bought them for her.

The Aubergine color is lovely and the flannel is warm and soft. It fit the blanket beautifully and I was very pleased at first.
However, I soon a dusty film appeared in odd places--the tub, the sinks, my dressers...then came the wine-colored dust bunnies that were thick and went everywhere. I will return the duvet and thoroughly clean my room, bathroom, and everywhere else the bunnies went.
I count on L.L. Bean's high quality and am disappointed that this duvet cover isn't up to the quality I have learned to expect.

I love this cover. It fits my queen sized comforter like a glove, and the color, Bay Leaf, is just what I hoped it would be. It is very snuggly, making it difficult to leave the bed on cold mornings. It has washed well and I have had no lint trouble, wondering if it is color related. As a seamstress I do know that the same fabric dyed in different colors, feels and behaves differently.

I have ordered three of these flannel duvet covers and am very happy with them! The colors are as listed on the website, the quality is excellent, and I don't see any lint from them at all. We will all be very toasty all winter long. I can always trust L.L. Bean's products.
