Rated 4 out of 5 by Inasue Sizing is wronggg
I love these pants, but the sizing is all wrong. I'm 5'4" and weigh
125 lbs. Normally, a size 8 from LL Bean is quite comfortable. I ordered these pants in a size 10, because I was warned from previous reviews that the pants ran very small. The size 10 fits snuggly, and I hope when I wash them they won't shrink. If so, I won't be able to wear them. The length is just fine #pre washed#.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ThisBakerLovesLLBean Amazingly Soft and Comfortable
These pants fit great and the fabric is so incredibly soft. Although I wear them for dressy occasions and church, they feel almost like lounge pants! I purchased both colors that are shown, but I would quite happily purchase ten more pairs if more colors were available. That is how comfortable these pants are. One thing I have noticed is that most jeans and pants have a major drawback in that right up above the button (over the zipper) the jean fabric sticks out, giving an awkward appearance. I kept waiting to see if these pants would be the same way, but I haven?t noticed any problems at all. So, I am thrilled with my purchase of these pants!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by TorontoGirl Nice and soft, but...
I encourage all purchasers to follow the advice of the comments below, and order one size bigger than usual and the length longer than you normally would. I am usually a 4 Regular. Having read the other comments, I ordered a 6 Medium Tall. Right out of the package the pants seemed long, but after one wash and dry the inseam had shrunk a full 2" down to 30". Other than that, they seem quite serviceable for my business casual work environment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Schnarps Did not fit me as well
These pants did not fit me all that well. 20W was too generous in the waist but OK in the hips and legs, whereas my usual LL Bean pant size 18W was tight all around. I have decided to keep the smaller size and hope that it will stretch out when wearing it but I probably wouldn't buy these again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Olnie Different fit from expected
I was wearing a favorite pair of Bayside twills when I ordered these pants - same size, same "Classic Fit" - and was very disappointed to find that these were cut totally differently from the ones I had been wearing. They were too tight in the waist and ballooned at the hips. Although this seems to be the norm in women's styling these days, I had expected LLBean's sizing to remain the same. Wrong! The fabric and color were very nice, so I am sorry to return them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by outdooradkwoman ordering size up longer length
Thank God! I read reviews, unfortunately AFTER i made my purchase. I was so depressed about how much weight i must have gained over the winter! Couldn't even button my usual size 6 petite pants! Now reading reviews - feeling a lot better about having to exchange for an 8. Going to try the regular length too as i don't want them to shrink and be too short. Thanks to all those who previously wrote reviews. Next time I'll read BEFORE i place my order! Great sale price too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BeanieFromOhio I really, really wanted these.
These are a nice light weight pant which would be great for the spring, summer, and fall. Unfortunately they run VERY small and short. I ordered my usual size in LLBean pants (10, medium tall), but I couldn't even get these pants zipped! Plus the length would have been fine if I wore a flat shoe ( I can live with that), but there's no way I could wear any shoe with a heel. I thought I'd send them back and exchange them for a larger size, but the next size up only had the regular length left in stock and I knew those would be way too short for me. I may have even needed two sizes up, but the sizes stopped at a 12.....probably because this was a two a day special and maybe they are being discontinued? There does seem to be an issue the last few years with sizes not being consistent. That can be quite aggravating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BeansRegular Not the Quality I Expect
These pants got such mixed reviews that I was very unsure about getting them. I do, however, have a small waist for my hip size, and that seemed to be the major issue with these pants, so I eventually did order both colors. At first, I thought that the fabric was pretty nice, a soft, thin, stretchy cotton that snapped back after stretching. The waist is smaller and higher, just as shown on the model in the online photos (her waist is pulling from the tightness), however the waist and hips fit perfectly for me.
Why only 3 stars then? The construction left a lot to be desired. While the waist and hips fit well, the transition zone between them flares out suddenly (again as shown on the model) almost as if to accommodate love handles (I have none), But worse, the upper side seams have very uneven stitching, and this occurred on both color pairs, so I have to think this is characteristic of this style. The khaki pair bulged out just above the front pocket (just where the model's left hand is) and the olive pair had generally uneven stitching on both upper side seams, making them look lumpy (never a good look) above and around the pockets. Because they fit so snugly in the waist, this made the lumpy stitching of the seams look worse and more prominent. This is just not the high quality of the majority of my pants from LLBean and I returned them. I think that these pants would do better in the favorite fit, with the slightly lower waist and less difference between waist and hips. If you get a good pair without the stitching problems that I found, and you have the small-waisted figure, you might really like these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CentralMaineGirl Good but...
I love these pants. However, I wish I had purchased the "medium tall" version rather than the "regular" version. I normally wear "regular" length pants but these pants shrink after being washed and dried (per the instructions on the tag) a few times. They also stretch out quite a bit during the course of the day, hence, the "somewhat loose" rating on the waist. I would buy the "medium tall" version today if it were available in my size, which sadly, it isn't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PooPoo Very Comfy!
I just got these on Monday evening and wore them to work yesterday. They are very comfy. I just wish that they came in black and more color choices. I will definitely be ordering the khaki ones as well.
