Rated 4 out of 5 by BeansRegular Warm for seersucker
When I saw these 3 patterns, I just had to buy them all. I love a great plaid, and when you add the puckers of seersucker, I am sold. I have noticed that both these shirts and the essential seersucker striped shirts have very stiff and somewhat thick fabric--I am still not sure if the feel of thickness is due to the stiffness of the fabric. This does not bother me because the material is not rough, but the upper neck will not lie open and just pokes me at the base of my neck. I will be washing all three, even though I have only worn 2 of them, to see if I can soften up the fabric and fold the collar open more. I am pretty handy with a needle and thread, so I should be able to make this work.
One other pet peeve of mine is 3/4 sleeves--I don't have any use for them. If it is hot out, I only want short sleeve or sleeveless tops. If it is cooler out, I want long sleeves, which I can always roll up to various heights depending on the temperature. I wish that all of the seersucker shirts were offered in short and long sleeve options for those reasons. In the meanwhile, I will just cuff these sleeves up to short sleeves, which looks just fine.
The shirts run true to size, which is good as there is no stretch to the fabric. I will wear these in weather up to about the low 70's, but over that, they will probably be too hot. They do look good open over a solid tank top, especially with slim leg pants or capris. If the fabric was just a bit softer, I would give them 5 stars.

I really like this shirt. I purchased the asparagus color and it is really cute. The plaid is "fun" and the fit is good--not too tight or too loose. The reason I gave this shirt 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the weight of the fabric. I know the fabric is seersucker, but I would not wear this shirt in the middle of summer--you would roast! I would say this is more of a fall item because of the weight of the fabric. I personally don't mind the thick fabric as I will just wear this item anytime it isn't too hot.

nice fit: neither too loose nor too tight. I am a grandmother, and it is appropriate for me, but in style and cheerful colors.

This is a comfy top for days when you want to look put together but not too dressy. It is not exceptionally roomy, but as long as it doesn't shrink it fits fine. I haven't washed it yet so can't comment on that. My one complaint regarding the cut is that it is too high in the neck. I would prefer something looser around the neckline. It doesn't lay naturally either when you unbutton the top buttons.

I like the color & style a lot, but would have liked a little more room on the bottom.

Many things I get at ll bean tend to be too big in the waist area. I like the pattern and the basic cut, it fits in the shoulders and bust, but is about 2 inches too big in the waist.

There's nothing like seersucker for not having to iron. This is comfortable and looks great in red. I also bought it in blue.

My shirt arrived perfectly..size small/regular and in the wine/blue shade!I love it.I adore this neckline so much and I do have a bust line but this size will just fit nicely!I shall launder carefully and heat dry on hot water tank!!The fabric is substantial and the colours lovely! If I did not have to pay duty/tax I would buy all three!!I am 5`2" and this does not make me look as if I am expecting a child..otherwise I would skip it for sure!
Thanks L.L.Bean for your creativity! and nice Reps`/staff too! More of these necklines please!!Very flattering!
