Great, comfortable belt to wear with khaki pants and shorts or jeans.
I like it for driving as it allows a bit of stretch as you try to remain comfortable over long periods.
I now have all 4 belts with different stripes.
Great product and well made with substantial leather and good hardware.

Most confortable belt I own - nice to have some stretch after a long day traveling in car or plane. Wear it a lot, haven't experienced any of the problems others seem to have. Purchased the size I normally get, fits fine. I frequently do deep breathing exercises during the day, extending my abdomen a fair amount, and this belt is the perfect tension to stretch but still stays tight enough to keep pants up.

This canvas belt is great! I wear it throughout the year, no matter the season. It is durable and comfortable. My only complaint is that the belt stretches much farther than I anticipated. I ordered my usual waist size, but I had to exchange it for a belt that is 2" shorter in length than my waste. That did the trick, and it fits great!

The "bit of stretch for extra comfort"results in your pants sliding down throughout the day because theyre not really held in place by the belt....isnt that supposed to be the point of a belt? This belt was little more than a decoration, didnt function as a belt for me and had to go back.

Wow, I love the stretch in this belt!! I just received it yesterday and tried it on right away. The quality of the belt is top notch and it really looks quite smart on my Bean khakis. I love the way the belt has just a bit of stretch. Great when bending down or sitting in the car, no binding. The fit and finish of the belt is top notch, I have no doubt it will last me for years!! I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a nice, clean casual belt. Another great product from LL Bean....thanks so much.

I was a bit concerned about the stretchiness of this belt before I ordered it, but no problem -- stretches just a little bit. Nice colour and detailing.

I've been wearing Bean web belts for long time. When just ordering replacements I didn't pay attention to descriptions. Got the same size I always get. Was surprised by stretch. It stretches so much I run out of holes. Don't like stretch, don't want stretch.

I do not understand how this belt could get poor ratings. My belt is in the tan solid, with thick leather ends, a solid buckle and slightly stretchy woven material for the main body. This belt has some give to it, but easily takes up the slack on a loose pair of pants and keeps them in place. I bought the belt for my teenage son and liked it so much better than the women's thinner, much stretchier version that I purchased one in the size 30 for myself (LLBean women's size 4 traditional, 2 signature). The belt holds pants solidly in place for both of us (my son is 6'3" and 200lb, 34" waist and belt) and neither of us has had any issues with excessive stretchiness. If there were any issues about keeping a heavy pair of pants up, neither of us would use a stretchy belt anyway.
This belt has enough stretch to make long drives a lot more comfortable, and allow for more flexibility in daily activities without the feeling of being strangled by one's belt. The leather is rich and thick and it is solidly put together. I anticipate that this belt will last a long time.

My husband absolutely won't wear this---and he likes loungewear with stretchy waist at night! But a belt should work, and this doesn't give him any confidence that his pants area being held up or that his shirts will stay tucked in. It has an insecure feeling. He'll still wear his 15-year-old Bean belt till we find another replacement----this one's going back.

I like these belts. Very comfortable. Bean recommends ordering pants size. Experience tells me order a size smaller. When wearing it fits in the center hole.
