Rated 4 out of 5 by NiagaraSailor Light weight and waterproof
I normally wear 7 1/2 or 8 so I ordered 8 1/2. They were too small so LLBean did a "Quick Exchange" and sent me size 9. They fit perfectly.
I wore them for an entire weekend while sailing aboard the tall ship US Brig Niagara in some heavy rain (and a deck wash!) and my feet stayed perfectly dry. The comfort level was excellent and my feet never felt fatigued.
With the exception of the poor sizing so far these are great shoes and I can easily recommend them. I don't understand, though, why a major company like Keen can't get sizing correct. This seems like a simple problem to fix but I have run into this with other Keens that I own.

I've looked for a waterproof sneaker forever and finally gave these a try. They're heavier than a regular sneaker but they work great in the wet weather.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Wildernessboy Not your usual Keen fit
I usually only wear Keens because they have a wide fit, with a wide toe box. I have bought about 15 pairs of Keens in the past ten years...sandals, winter hiking boots, low cut hiking boots, etc. I needed a pair of shoes I could use for day hikes, lacrosse with the kids, general walking in summer, so sandals were out of the question, and did not want something too heavy like a true hiking shoe. So I ordered these Keens, thinking they would have the comfort, and the large toe box that I am used to with Keens, (and I thought they were a nice looking shoe).........nope. Very narrow, and uncomfortable for me. They were also small. I usually order a 10, and these felt like a 9 to me. So if you are thinking of ordering these because you're used to buying Keens, and your expecting the normal Keen fit...they're not. I still love Keens though, just not these.

I can't speak to how these shoes function because, even though I ordered one half size over my usual, they were too small to wear. Keen needs to pay more attention to sizing, or, at the least, Bean's needs to make customers aware of needing to try a much larger size than normal.

order these at least a half-size large. they also run a little narrow especially for keen which are generally full. they're light and promising, but mine were too small (and don't come any bigger), so I need to return. never tested the waterproof qualities, but low-cuts will get your feet wet in most conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RailTrailBiker This is the shoe Keen wearer have been waiting for
Bought three pairs for family. My son said he thinks he could climb the side of the house with them. Daughter inlaw loves them. Lightest Keens ever. As usual Keen comfort little breakin needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by dhutchi Nice flexible waterproof light hiker
I returned for a larger size but otherwise a nice light hiker. Considerably more flexible than the other low hikers at LL Bean so I wouldn't recommend for heavy load hiking. Seemed a little hot when I wore it indoors for an hour or so to check the fit which was about 1/2 size smaller than expected. Will probably be fine outdoors in cool weather light hiking.
