Rated 5 out of 5 by Rupee Great fit, good on ice and snow
I bought these primarily for walking the dog and working in the yard during the non winter months. I tried them out in the ice and snow, and was pleasantly surprised. Great traction, and relatively warm. Very happy with them.

These boots are a little difficult to "slip-on." You really need to use the pull tab on the back and it still takes some effort. I've had these for ~2.5 weeks, tried three different weight socks, and blisters on the back of my ankles every time :( They have great traction and insulation. My foot is a little wide, but these fit great. Unfortunately, I'll be sending them back. LL Bean's return policy and customer service as always are top notch.

Rated 1 out of 5 Pry-On Boots
I like the idea of a slip-on weather proof boot with a stout sole for gardening or chasing the dogs back in the house especially in foul weather. The key word is slip-on. The idea is to quickly slip them on, not pry them on. These boots have a very tight opening which make it very difficult to slip on. The back side of the heel is also uncomfortable. Thicker socks may help but then you wouldn't be able to get your foot into the boot. I'm sending these back and exchanging them for the clog style. These boots seem constructed very well, but the small opening leaves them useless.
P.S. I'm not happy about the $6.50 return shipping fee for an item that just isn't designed well. This is one reason to not purchase shoes online.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EveryDayTrekker Bogs - best footwear I've bought in a long time!
I originally bought these so I could avoid ending up with wet feet while walking my dogs in the park that is located in a flood plane where large and numerous puddles remain for up to a week after even moderate rains but I find myself wearing these all the time as they are super comfortable and so easy to slip on. It is a joy to finally have a pair of foot gear to wear when the temperatures don't warrant pulling out my cold weather water proof boots. Bogs not only are great for rainy fall/spring days but with a pair of heavy socks I find I can be comfortable using them on walks of an hour or so in temperatures near freezing.
Now when I have chores to do around the yard or have to run into town on rainy days there is no footwear to wear but these!
I fervently hope that these will always be available - I'm almost considering buying another pair now just to guarantee that I will have a pair ready to use once these ruggedly built low cut boots wear out as I seem to be wearing them all the time for all activities!
NOTE: I normally wear size 9 to 91/2 and the customer service person I spoke with recommended I go up to size 10 and that size works very well for me. They are roomy when used with a pair of light socks and snug with heavier socks for cold weather.
Now if only Bean could make a similar boot, completely waterproof like these, that were higher cut for those times when I'm out in the woods and encounter deeper water.

Purchased these for my grandson....he works outside and needs some waterproof protection for his feet. He had a very hard time putting these boots on....the opening was too tight and narrow. When he did get them on the toe area was too wide. They might of been better in the foot area with heavier socks, but he would of never been able to get the boots on. So I am returning to LL Bean.

I bought these bogs because I like shoes that are quick to slip on and off. They fit great and are comfortable to have on my feet all day long. I can't stand wet feet and my feet don't get wet with these shoes. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I wear size 11. These 11's are slightly large for me, but not enough to cause me to exchange them. Someone else might. If you wear 11's then 11.5 in these will be too large and 10 too small. It's 11 or 10.5 for you.
I am using them to garden, mow and clean up the yard after my dog. They are perfect for those chores. They was off with the hose. They slip on and off easy but the snug heel keeps them from slopping around while I work. That despite wearing almost non existent low cut running sock in them and again they are perhaps 1/2 size large for me. They fit more shoe like than boot like. I didn't purchase them with this intention, but I now know that I'll be wearing these while blowing snow this winter, albeit with pair or two of heavy sox. Hey, maybe 11 is the right size if you live where it snows!
