Rated 1 out of 5 by beraksmom Ammend my previous review
I still love the fit and warmth, but very dissapointed in the quality. I am now returning my 3rd pair because of runs and tears in the fabric. I wear these every day. Warm? YES! Durable? NO! I wash them exactly as labeled and still am sending back another set of pants that are falling apart. They fit great, I am 5'6" and 140 pounds, I work in size 10 MT Bayside Twills every day so I cannot believe the my body proportions are damaging the seams of these pants. They fit loose/comfortable on me. The first pair that failed? Well, no one is perfect. The second? Hmmmm. The 3rd? Well, LL, I do expect better quality than that. Using these pants for 2 months and very, very sad to be writing a negative review. No trouble at all with returns, your satisfaction guarantee is perfect, but I would much rather pay a fair price for a good, DURABLE product.

At first I really liked this silk long underwear. It is very light, very thin and added a bit of warmth under other pants. However, they have not worn well. After wearing them at most 30 times, they have developed runs and holes in the fabric. I expect longer wear for this price.

I have bought the silk underwear(pants) before and am disappointed in the quality. They run and stretch very quicky. I had better luck with the turtle neck shirt. Perhaps another manufacturer should be considered for the future.

Well, lets see....what I like about this item is.......the color surf blue.
Spent $44.95 to much. I was afraid to go down a size due to; I havent been a large in 15 years. They ARE Oversized. They are also thin, see through, sheer as hoisery. Baggy in fit, baggy in calves, baggy in crotch, and thin. The waistband goes up under my bra so the perk..... it warms my stomach.
To end on a good note......the longjohns provided laughter with my husband and I love ll beans shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cassandra23 These are perfect, upset they ran out
These are perfect in every way. I want more. However, they ran out in all but blue very early in the winter. This is a problem I have had with many products this year. I think LLBean has decided to control its inventory too tightly. This is too bad, since when I find a Bean item I like I often want to reorder.

I do like the added warmth of this thin layer of silk, but after wearing this for a bit more than one winter, one knee has developed a big rip in it (when it began, it appeared like a run in your stockings) and the seam down the back is now ripping out. Fortunately such holes in my underwear aren't visible, but soon the rips will be too large and it'll be unwearable. For this price I expected better. I'm disappointed that LL Bean would offer such marginal quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by beraksmom Just what I needed
Recieved these a week ago and will be ordering a second pair! My workplace is always COLD and I needed this very thin layer. The material is very thin and light. I cannot compare to previous years material as some reviewers have but I can say that for the lightness of the garment it adds a BIG layer of warmth.
I have very long legs for my height (I usually order medium-tall) and the legs are easily long enough. The waist is high, at my natural waist, which I really like since that prevents a draft up my back. If you dress with low rise pants, and like some skin to show when you bend over then you will not like these pants because they will show when you bend over. But if you prefer to keep your back covered you will be very pleased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Myster Baggy, saggy and cold.
The material is so thin it doesn't contain body heat. These ultra-thin silk underthings are huge in the legs, yet snug at my waist (I purchased a large with elastic waist, as usual).
I'm noticing two things wrong lately with LLBean products.
First, that they seem unaware that there are three types of female forms, average (normal, ideal, rare), pear-shaped, and apple-shaped.
I'm an apple--big at the waist and with skinny legs. So, while the waist fits, the legs on these things just swim around mine, letting cold air in and delivering a shock of cold as they come in contact with my skin.
Second thing I'm noticing is that the material on items I've recently purchased is inferior. The comment above that these let cold air in is not because they aren't snug at waist and ankle. It's because the material is so thin that air flows easily through them.
Meanwhile, your jeans are now made of some heavy stuff that would better be called "overalls" or "dungarees". What happened to the once chic designer jeans I've purchased? (With the apple-shaped fit on the elastic waist pants??)
Just raise the price, for pity sake, don't destroy the products.
