The silk turtleneck is lightweight, comfortable and nice. The only problem is the thread sometimes runs in the neck area so I have to buy a new one every year. If it was made of pointelle waeve like some of the silk pants it wouldn't run and would be perfect.

Everything is right about this shirt except the length. I would appreciate a couple more inches to ensure that it still covers the top of my pants when I sit down. I'm 5'8" and long-waisted, so perhaps I need a tall size. The sleeves are the right length. Color is nice, and the fabric is lovely.

I have been wearing the silk underwear every winter. Definitely keeps me warmer and is comfortable under my turtleneck. I started buying these years ago and will continue to buy them. They last for years too.

LLBEAN is an amazing store. I have purchased so many quality wonderful items. Everything from slippers to bathing suits for my children many years ago. Home decorations, hunting boots, LL BEAN's always live up to my expectations. Sadly not this silk turtleneck. I ordered my normal size and it fits oddly. The neck part just hangs on my neck. I noticed no model demonstrates this product. It is so thin you cannot wear the turtleneck alone. It doesn't offer enough protection to protect against the itch of my wool sweaters. Thankfully LLBEAN honors and stands by their clothing and I can return this and get a thicker turtleneck. Thank you LL BEAN for being a company I can trust. Merry Christmas.

THIS UNDERWEAR CAN BE USED WITH SWEATERS TO INCREASE THE WARMTH AND REDUCE WOOL'S EFFECT ON SENSITIVE SKIN (i.e. ITCH.) THEY FEEL SILKIE!
THEY COULD BE PRICED A BIT LOWER AND BE AVAILABLE IN MORE COLORS.

This silk turtleneck is the best underneath layer for cold winter days that I have ever had. Although its light weight means you must wear a layer on top of it, that lightness also guarantees warmth without bulk. I've worn it underneath a flannel shirt as well as under a dressy sweater. If I know I'm going to be outdoors all day, I'll wear it under a cashmere sweater--but not for indoors, because I'd feel too warm. As always, LL Bean's customer service is tops.
