Rated 4 out of 5 by Ashevillian Nice skirt, hate the exposed zipper
I really like this skirt, perfect length for me (5'2" 130 lbs) in a 6 REG. What I hate is the exposed zipper down the back. I could tolerate it if it were black and actually blended nicely with the fabric, but its a thick old-school style brass zipper that just looks weird with the skirt.
Everything else is finished nicely, good darts that make the skirt fit well, waistband lies nice and flat and isn't bulky,
This is the 2nd skirt I received from LLB that has burlap fibers stuck into the fabric that I have to manually remove with tweezers. Looks strange and feels really coarse. Looks much better after plucking.
I like that I can press this at home with a warm iron when it doesn't need a full dry-cleaning.
The lining is really strange and almost feels (and looks) plastic-y. Something more matte would have worked better as shiny/slippery lining just means the skirt rides up all over the place instead of sitting still like it should.

About a month ago, I'd bought the Madison in corduroy to pair with the rayon scoop neck blouse in black. Needless to say, the outfit, paired with black lace tights and black flats was a success. I was very scared to wear that rusty orange color, but my boyfriend adored the look and so did my friends, plus a salesgirl while we went shopping. So when Signature released the black Stewart one, I immediately had to add it to my wardrobe. The price is great; $99 for a lined, wool skirt? The quality is wonderful and it does look rather "schoolmarmy" but in an adorable, vintage way.
I bought it at Tysons, as always, and got a 15% discount using my Bean card. Size changed though. The Madison seems to be true to size and I've noticed that with Signature mini skirts, the proper fit should be comfortably snug in the hips, or else it doesn't sit right. My size has fluctuated and I'm sitting somewhere between a 6 to an 8. The cord skirt was purchased in an 8, but unfortunately, it is a tad too loose in the waist and hip...as compared to the Addison mini I bought last year (it had the aforementioned snug hip feeling). So I bought the 6 in the black Stewart. Perfect fit, with still enough room for any added "winter weight." I must also say, good one on the classic plaid patterns, Signature! It looks like they are making a comeback again and I cannot wait to wear this skirt, plus my cord (and my silk flannel plaid dress!) during the holidays this year!

Rated 4 out of 5 by catblack coarse fabric...
I bought this skirt in Black Stewart. I thought it would be a good dress-up holiday party item. However, the fabric is very coarse and this makes it MUCH more casual. I expected the wool fabric to be more along the line of a dressy wool suiting. I am keeping the skirt to wear with black knit tights and casual black tall boots. Had also considered ordering the pants in another tartan fabric, but seeing how coarse the fabric is, I decided against it.
