I bought the sweater because it looked like 100% cotton from the website, but actually only 60% with 40% acrylic. We have a 100% cotton sweater from a different brand and it looks and feels wonderful. I am a little bit disappointed with the quality. The sweater fits a little small and boxy.

It is hard to find children's clothing that is not cheap, thin, and made of petroleum. This sweater is 60/40 cotton/acrylic, but looks and feels great. It is generously sized, which is great for my tall girl.

I bought this for my son in the 14-16 size, which is a bit big on him even though he wears a 14. However, I will be keeping it as I know within a year it will fit perfectly. I have ordered these fisherman sweaters 3-4 times for my son and I love them. The knit is beautiful and the construction is quality. I really like it.

Bought this sweater so that my children could have coordinating outfits for their Santa pictures. The sweater was nice, a bit long in the arms (just rolled them up one), but liked by my picky daughter. It was soft, too. Pictures turned out great!

My 10 year old son loved this sweater. It is soft, well made and not too warm for our milder North Carolina winters. The color is beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by skwonita Exactly what I wanted
I love cable knit. I'm always looking for a perfect cable knit sweater. When I read "liveinllbean's" review, I knew this sweater was exactly what I wanted. I proportionately sized up according to her specs. I am 5'4" and 120lbs. I got the medium in navy. I love it! Sleeves come right before my wrists and the length hits my hips where I look "straighter". Hope that makes sense. I love love it. I immediately went to the llbean site to order the natural and grey. I have to wait til March 2013?! for the natural. I am getting the grey right now. Thanks liveinllbean for a great review.

This is a great sweater at a great price point. I purchased the grey color, and it looks in person exactly as it does online. It fits true to size, and really is a classic winter staple.

The sweater was nice looking but was too boxy for my thin son. The bottom just kind of hung over the top of his pants. He is 13 about 5'1" and 95 pounds.

I love LL Bean for so many reasons, first being it's incredible customer service. This purchase was actually my third of this sweater. I'm female, 5'2, 100 pounds, so this sweater is everything I love in a cozy knit. I have the S in navy and it fits perfectly--sleeves are 3/4 length and it falls right above my hips. Perfect with jeans and boots. I also have the L in cream from last season, and that's great as an oversized knit. It's my go to when I'm traveling and want something warm but comfortable. My latest purchase was the grey in size XL. It's wonderful--it falls below my bottom so I can wear it with leggings, but the armholes are snug enough so that the sweater doesn't look like I stole an old man's sweater. The only caveat I have about this season's sweater is that I noticed it didn't feel as soft and luxurious as last season. I checked the tag from my previous sweater and noticed that the make up was 50% wool 50% acrylic. This season is 60% acrylic 40% wool. The difference isn't a huge deal, but I think I'd rather LL Bean kept the quality and raised the price by $10 or however much it would need to. This sweater is a staple and I would keep buying it if the quality stayed the same.
