Rated 4 out of 5 by clothed not actually slim
This is a heavy and rough finished flannel, which isn't quite clear from the picture. It is very warm; almost sweater warm. I like it.
The claimed fit is "slim" but that's not really true. The body of the shirt does not taper at all and there is easily four inches of extra fabric around my waist that would have to be taken in for it to be a slim fit. I guess what LL Bean calls a "tailored fit" is somewhat slimmer.

A great shirt - no M size when I ordered - now there seems to be - so I bought L. Too big, but wear it any way.
Certain that you won't see yourself coming and going in this shirt - a true original...quality is great and the flannel is perfect for this updated cut...those who want heavier flannel should look to LL Bean's awesome basic flannels.

I have to agree with the other reviews posted here. I expected much more of a cotton flannel feel but the shirt is a rough, true flannel. Not make or break for me, but know what you're getting.
Also, the fit of the medium for me felt more "shrunk" than tailored. The sleeves were pretty short and the tail and front were hit pretty high, barely making my waist (I'm 6'0 165lbs). I was hoping for a much better fit from a signature shirt. I have not purchased any others yet so I'm unable to tell if this is exclusive to this shirt or all signature cuts.
The fit was enough for me to return it.

I have this shirt in blue. For the price I was expecting a very fine flannel cloth shirt. The quality of this shirt is equal or even less than most of LL Bean's regular flannel shirts. I estimate that most of the cost was for the Signature label. The only reason I did not return the shirt is that the blues in the shirt are very nice.

I like the pattern and the cloth; however it is not a good value. For the signature series, I didn't expect skimping on the cut - the shirt (in my case an XL) is too short (shorter than normal Bean XLs) The cloth, while nice, is nothing extraordinary and does not warrant the cost.
